The perfect getaway for two teachers after a long and stressful school year. The grounds and location are absolutely stunning. There were birds and a bunny to greet us in the morning, and beautiful sunsets at night. The innkeeper, Ed, adds so many extra touches. Freshly baked cookies, fruit, juice, coffee, pancake goodies, and a lovely sherry. Sitting on the porch, gazing at the bay after spending the day exploring Port Townsend was a near perfect experience.

We found the perfect place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was so peaceful with a beautiful view of the bay. Ed was the perfect host who took the time when we arrived to show us around. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely go back in the future. Ed, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Bay Cottage is a beautiful, restful and romantic getaway. We were greeted by Ed, the host who is warm, inviting and even baked cookies and had them set out in our cottage. There are actually three cottages here to choose from. The beach is private and surrounded by beautiful homes. Port Townsend is a great place to visit. It is rich in history, great parks, old forts, a lighthouse and quaint shops that will leave you with a desire to return.

This property is beautiful.Ed the owner is quite the host. He did not miss a thing.from the sherry left for you ,as a night cap,to the homeade cookies,which by the way are delicious,to the pancake mix,just in case you wanted them with there maple syrup. The Bay cottage is like stepping back in time,with the simple charm.and the beautiful property that it sits on overlooking Discovery Bay. This is a must stay if your traveling to port Townsend!! My husband found this gem on the internet and booked us for 2 nights based on the reviews. I can honestly say this was a highlight of our journey through the state. The owner, Ed greeted us with a smile, amazing homemade cookies, and a great overview of what Port Townsend had to offer. Thanks to him we eat at some great restaurants!! The property is secluded with beautiful grounds and direct access to the beach. The view from our cottage deck was great. We hated to leave and want come back when we can stay longer!

Bay cottage is vintage best! Two bedrooms, one bath, lovely view from deck. My sister and I have spent 3 vacations here. Well stocked kitchen, great front porch. Ya just fall in love with the entire property! Jenny's cottage is adorable, perfect for a couple or solo time. Large patio sits above the beach, grill is for your use, as well as a fire pit to enjoy an evening outside. Discovery Bay is accessible via a solid stairway, off the patio. You can wander for hours, and rarely see another person. Unless you own or rent a vacation property, there is no beach access. We have explored the peninsula, up, down, and sideways, PT. Townsend city center, is about 20 minutes from the cottages.||||Now, another gem, is Ed , the proprietor. He has become a friend, who we look forward to seeing, each year. He is a gracious host, tending to every detail, down to the sherry , to sip before bed. ||||Absolutely book a cottage, you will come away feeling better!! And planning your next visit🙂

Ed, the owner could not have been more welcoming and helpful. You feel like a quest and not a credit card. Deer in the yard on arrival. English garden and ocean view with a lovely sunset. The decor reminds me of a grandma decorated house from the 1920’s. Very clean! Parking close to bushes but Ed glad to back your car out. Would stay there again if in the area.

We stayed for a few days in July 2020 and really enjoyed the ambience. Ed, the host, is very accommodating, helped us with setting up a nice evening fire. The cottages are charming, maybe a little funky but clean. The beach is sandy and a great spot to swim or set off on a kayak.
