5 stars!!! My husband and have used Bay Area Computer for a few years now. We have purchased a refurbished laptop for my daughter for at home schooling during the pandemic. We have had numerous items repaired desktops, laptops & monitors. Most recently my husband is attempting to build some of matrix (see pic) in his office. Not knowing what he needed to complete the project, but he knew who to go to for advice and the proper equipment. Bay Area Computers is knowledgeable, honest, professional, and adept at computer repair and building. The customer service is top notch, they do a great job at taking their time thoroughly explaining your options with in your budget. Communicate quickly when your items are ready to be picked up. I took my laptop in for a sticky keyboard and chose this place after reading the many glowing reviews! The staff was quick to respond to my (many) questions, and was so friendly! Not only did they have my laptop ready after only an hour--they also checked for viruses and did an overall "health" run/report on it. It was wonderful that they offered that service along with something as simple as cleaning a keyboard and it made my mind at ease knowing that my laptop as a whole was taken care of and took one less thing off my plate. When I got home I realized the clicker was still sticking and when I reached out to them they responded immediately, checked it out, and once again it was ready in almost less than an hour for me, no charge since the had already helped with my keyboard the day before. We discovered the clicker needed to be replaced and they had found a replacement part before the end of the day! I was amazed about how well they responded immediately to me and I was once again in and out within an hour to replace my clicker. My laptop is running like a dream and I am thankful I found somewhere that I trust for any future concerns. I will be a return costumer for sure, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for any support with their devices! Thank you Bay Area Computers!

Hands down one of the best experiences that I have ever had at a store or with a retailer. They went above and beyond, doing more than they were expected to in order to make sure that I was happy. Absolute quality work, making me feel confident in my purchase. They've gained a customer for life.
I brought an Alienware gaming laptop to them from a hoarder house (computer had some liquid spill residue, dead bugs, cat hair). I dropped it off around 11am and they had it beautifully cleaned out and ready to pick up by 6pm same day. I received update pictures via text while it was being taken apart which I appreciated and they even cheaply replaced the dried out thermal paste. Everyone was very friendly and I didn't feel embarrassed about any lack of knowledge or the state of my really gross laptop. This place is highly rated and recommended for a reason!
This is a company I have already scheduled my next upgrade with. They fixed my laptop in under 2 hours, had the screen replaced and back to me. I am taking in my work computer this week to have it upgraded. I don't write reviews very often but this company is one that I find exceptional. They are great people to work with and quality work at a reasonable price.
Chris was the most honest person I've dealt with in years with any purchase. An absolutely wonderful experience from Facebook to talking at the store. He really looked out for me and I was able to make a great trade and get the computer (Macbook Pro) that I can use for my next project.
