Bassett Motel - Motel in Williamsburg - 800 York St, USA

Old fashion motel. Looks out of date, but the beds and linens were very comfortable. Bathroom linens are past their prime and should be replaced. Rooms exceptionally and thoroughly clean in all aspects. AC works well. Refrigerator and Microwave if needed. Quiet. One bathroom receptacle, but it worked well enough for 2 people. Really only one concern - rooms lack the interior swing bar security latch that most all other hotel/motels have. Would be a good addition along with the towels!|I've stayed at Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton and Banyan Tree hotels on several continents and unless I'm in a resort vacation mode I really only want clean, comfortable night's sleep, safe and quiet. This little motel provided that.

If I only had one word to describe this motel it would be nasty. There was blood on our sheets and on the mattress cover. Had to make a request for more towels because the rooms are not serviced daily. The towels came with poop on them. Disgusting place. Avoid at all cost.

Clean is the most important part to remember here.....these motel rooms are nice oldschool TOUGH THINGS designed for go not show. Verry safe too i saw the police on that street several. Times. I only paid the LOW COST of pizza and wings to keep my wife and two kids in this hidden jem. I dont know who does the clean up but give them a bonus....the towels on the otherhand could use a bit more bleaching. But dont get the wrong impression. I like the proximity to COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. If i could i would turn back time and only stay here....i woud. I could have avoided all those other dirty hotels in the area.

Let me start with the good before I get to the not doing great. Management was amazing, accommodating and very understand. Okay let’s talk of not so great. The room itself was not clean. The bottom of the door had mold, the bathroom had flies in the toilet and tub, when I flipped up the sheets multiple tiny bugs went all over. Along with stains on the sheets and mattress pad. Due to the bugs I chose not to continue my stay there. A very very big thank you to management for handling the situation with grace and the highest level of professionalism. I hope him the best in business!

Im going to start with the good review 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥, the shower looked clean and the sheets to. but although it was clean my family and i didn't stay there for long.it looked good when we booked but for us it was not so good, our toilet didn't work, the staff was rude. there were ants in the bathroom. i know its not for every room and the staff was probably having a bad day but we are not coming back.

Nice nostalgic Roadside Motel... Like the courtyard feel of the property... Restaurants nearby as well as shopping... Real close to Historic Williamsburg... Best thing I can say is that it's very quiet in the evening.,. Great couples spot..👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Room 14 was very clean and smelled nice. Good price for a place to sleep. I would have given it 4 stars but the shower head is only about 5'5" from the tub so you have to squat to wash if you are taller than 5'4". We were there for 2 days & no one from housekeeping came by to freshen up the room or provide more towels. The bathroom paint job could have been tidier, there's dried paint on the tiles and the mirror could really use a boarder. Also if you are in the shower and someone in the room next to you or close to yours flushes their toilet or uses the water, you get straight cold water while you're showering for about 1-2 mins.
