The reply from Bass Pro to this thread asking for me to contact them with further discussion, I answered and they did not respond. Imagine how they must treat guests who signed long term contracts! I and my extended family will no longer support this bait and switch organization whose multiple attractions in our area we use to frequent. They sold us a room with faulty heating during a literal freeze warning. They did not answer for a while at the desk. After 6am, they did offer us another room to shower in, and had the audacity to ask we come again. At least I know better than to consider a time share with Big Cedar Lodge. Our first trip together in decades and Johnny Morris should be ashamed!

After reading some of the negative reviews I was hesitant about staying here. We accidentally booked our stay at the Springfield location when we arrived the hotel clerk was able to get things transferred to the Hollister location. Please don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Everything was great. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and I didn't notice any odors in the room. It had a fresh smell to it. The breakfast was very good. We will stay here again no questions asked.

First the good. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room is what was expected for a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was also decent for that level of hotel. Now the bad. The pillows were some sort of foam material that looked fluffy but offered no support, super weird. The pillows caused an allergic reaction for me. The mattress had a funny mix of smells of perfume, and various body odors. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel.

This was a really great place to stay right outside of Branson, MO||Love the homey decor. Fresh, clean rooms. Very neat & tidy. Beds were comfy and cozy. Wish we had more time to stay. Appreciate it being pet friendly. Plenty of spacious parking. All staff encountered were very nice & friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Price was comparable to other hotels. Surrounding area felt safe. It's tucked up on a hill on outskirts of town.

Weather was great! Anglers Lodge was nothing outstanding, but it was clean and convenient to golf and the resort. It's a little pricy but because it's a resort property allows advance tee times. The cancellation policy, 21 days, is a bit extreme. We had 8 rooms reserved and 2 from our group tested positive for Covid on the day before travel and we had to literally argue for 3 days to get an agreement to cancel and only pay for one of the 4 nights reservation.

It’s on a very busy street so get a room in the back if you need a quiet night. Otherwise it’s a lovely place with super helpful staff. Breakfast was average fare, but few choices for a vegan or vegetarian.

Dishonest. Do not disclose the full pet fee until after you have checked in. It is considerably more than they say it is. It’s almost the cost of another night stay. When I asked the manager about this, he said “this is America.”||My dad is a US vet and this is how he was treated. We ended up canceling 2 rooms and going to a different hotel altogether. They lost out on two nights/two rooms plus dinner at the Hotel restaurant when they could’ve just reimbursed us the additional fees. They do not have a good business here apparently, on top of being dishonest

Very dishonest. Booked online and was told after I booked that there was a pet fee. After I checked in, I was told the fee was higher than I was quoted, in writing. When I questioned this I was told “this is America”. My dad is a US veteran, he was with me. This is how they treat veterans?!!! We cancelled both rooms, they lost hundreds of dollars when they could have just credits us $20 and we wouldn’t been happy.
