My husband and I have been here twice, Once as a date night out and another for a birthday dinner at the chefs table. Both experiences were so delightful. Each dish is bursting with flavors that complement each other deliciously. Such a refreshing dinner of unique dishes that are mouth watering. Ambiance, decor, and lighting is contemporary and comfortable. Great service, great drinks. Chef Eric is a top notch guy who treats each one of his dishes as a work of art, both aesthetically and flavorfully. If you want to be promised a great night out, visit Basan.
This place is really great. Right next to Little Caesars Arena so perfect for a meal before a concert. The staff is great, the food is great, the drinks are great. Unique atmosphere with the couches while you dine. A few good tequilas great drinks in the wine is nice. Recommend highly.
Faith gave us the perfect dining experience. We truly enjoyed our evening and dinner here and would totally return and recommend. The rice with ahi tuna and strawberry was my absolutely favorite! The chicken thigh skewer was also delicious. The strawberry ice cream dessert was the perfect end.
We did the chef's table twice. Each experience was unique. We enjoyed socializing with Chef Eric and Connor as they prepared our dishes each time. On the last occasion, they accommodated a special request for a brother Feud that has been going on since we were little. It was a night that we will remember for a long time. Thanks so much for the extraordinary service and dinner. At the end of each meal, we always debated which dish was our favorite.
Angel was an amazing server. She definitely made it a great first experience at Basan. The food was superb and fresh. Everything was well plated. The whole staff worked together to ensure a positive time. The buns and tornado potato were great. Wagyu Skirt Steak was a definite must try. Finished with the Ube Tres Leches. A perfect end to the meal.
This is a wonderful spot for a delightful bite and craft cocktail before or after a sports or entertainment event at Little Ceasars Arena. The valet parking was very reasonable and convenient given the proximity to the arena and the challenge to find parking.
The atmosphere has a very sexy vibe that is perfect for a hot date night.
I thoroughly enjoyed Basan. The environment, decor, ambience is wonderful. The way the tables are set up and the architecture of the room is great for having conversation throughout dinner. You don’t hear constant chatter and you’re not yelling across the table or have difficulty hearing the waiters.
The service was also wonder. Several people checked in and our server was very kind. She was personable and polite and made us feel very welcomed into the restaurant.
The food was the only thing I removed a star for because of the skirt steak. It was the most expensive item we ordered and the meat was cooked perfectly. However, the chimichurri sauce was overpowering and salty. It took away from the flavor of the steak. I’d highly recommend the tofu donuts over the tres leches. The anglaise served with them is delicious and the donuts are very well cooked. My other favorite item were the shiitake skewers. The sauce with the texture of the mushrooms are *chef’s kiss*. The kung pal cauliflower (not pictured) also amazing!! Overall, everything was really good.
I’d recommend Basan to anyone who likes Asian flavors with a high-end touch.
One of the more phenomenal and culinary rich restaurants in Detroit, and reasonably priced to top it off. Everything I ate was creative and truly magnificent. Service was extraordinary and the inside is beautiful.
The food here is absolutely unmatched. From the flavor to the quality to the service, everything was 10/10. Ali has an ability to treat strangers like family. This restaurant is unreal!! Do yourself a favor and order the Iraqi Kabob, by far the best

We cannot recommend Cork and Gabel enough for your wedding! We had our ceremony & wedding reception at Cork and Gabel in April. Everything was beyond perfect! From the food, to the planning, to the drinks and atmosphere, it was exactly what we wanted
Easily the best meal I have ever eaten! The entire experience was phenomenal. Our servers, both in the bar upstairs (a really cool experience in itself) and Regan in the restaurant, were both excellent! Even the manager made us feel welcome and mad
Every time I visit Detroit, dining at Besa is a MUST! My family and I went for dinner last week, and again, it did not disappoint! My sister had never been so I wanted to introduce her to this gem! She has now also added Besa to her favourites list
