$95 for a room . I went yesterday 10/31 got a room key for 104. Walls dirty . Bed looked ok but holes in the covers . Floors dirty . The bathroom was a mess there was feces all over the toilet seat the showers had gunk in them from not being scrubbed down ! Lots and lots and lots of roaches they are infested I couldn’t stay !! Front desk lady didn’t wanna give me a refund just move to another room . I stood my ground and told her if she didn’t provide a refund I’d make a review on google and call health inspector . She finally gave me my money back ! Would never stay here under any circumstances
This place is a great place to stay. It's well kept. The owners are nice and always making sure.. if we need anything. For our stay
It's not The Ritz, but it's by no means a dive.| What Bartlett's Motel on Pacific Coast Highway in Lomita offers is a clean, safe, peaceful place to spend an inexpensive night or two. | It's well situated, within easy walking distance of a couple of convenience and liquor stores, and several good mid-range restaurants. |There are Chinese (Tasty Noodle House), Mexican (Alfredo's), Hawaiian (King Poke), Brazilian pizza (Sampa's Gourmet), Vietnamese (Nouilles of 3rds) and a classic '40s diner (Hot 'n' Tot), all within a block. |There is a Trader Joe's about a quarter mile away in a sprawling shopping center and the rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves. | The newly renovated units are not fancy but are pleasant and range from your standard motel cozy to two-room suites. | It's a popular spot and can get a little loud on a weekend nights. There is a brewery with live music on the weekends just down the block . |But it is run by a family that keeps a lid on things and pleasantly and efficiently checks guests in and out. | The on-site parking allows you to keep your vehicle within feet of your unit. There's a laundromat a couple doors down. too. |
Two stars is being generous. The sleeping room is reasonably clean, but the bathroom could use more attention. I found a bath mat left in the shower soaking wet. The bed was OK, linens clean but appallingly cheap. Very weak signal for wifi. No chairs or work table. At least not in my room. On the plus side, nice and quiet, even though it's on a busy street. The people running it courteous. It will do for a short stay, but doubt if I'll be back.
I would never recommend this place to anyone unless it was a prank. The people that run the place speak very little English and rely on their very rude and confrontational daughter to translate. To which she takes full advantage of in many ways including stealing money from you when you check in by way of the deposit she says wasn't paid and later with your credit card if you don't pay cash. DONT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU SEEK BS AND DRAMA.
Wanting to save some $$ we stayed there for a month while our home was being repaired. I had stayed at the Bartlett Motel when I first came to L.A. after a stint in the USAF. They have done (and are still doing) work to modernize/ improve the rooms. (while we were there, they repaired & restriped the parking lot) The on-site staff are very nice Indian people who will help you when needed. We had trouble with our TV remote but John fixed it. We accidentally locked ourselves out, John politely & without sarcasm let us back in. The cleaning woman did everything with a smile. The owner(manager?) Dan was polite. As for the rooms, very little to complain about. I liked our room #110. The bed was comfortable. It showed a little wear but it did not hurt our backs. The microwave was only 700watts but it worked. The refrigerator kept things cold & was bigger than many I've seen at orher Hotels. I saw only 1 bug while I was there. I did find well camouflaged "scribblings" (graffiti) on 2 of the wall hangings. They looked like signatures, they weren't. We noticed the shower rod was loose, but got a new one the next day. I liked how you could park right outside the door & the outside lighting. There's a laundry facility right next door behind the Liquor Store. There's a Mexican Food restaurant directly to the West. All in all a good time was had. The other tenets were quiet. We wanted to extend an extra week but we were told they had already "sold out" ->our room too, meaning we needed to pack up & go elsewhere since our place isn't fixed yet. That, to me, was not a great moment as we had to scramble to relocate in just 2 days. But such is the industry. Rooms must be filled. Would we return, absolutely. It's in our backyard practically. The AMC Theater chain is just down the street. There are many restaurants nearby, & Lomita isn't far from the beach. **MESSAGE TO THE OWNER** KEEP UPDATED ON MAINTENANCE. I saw a few things (I told you about) but you are going in the right direction. 👍
Terrible experience! If I could give a -5star I would. Dirty carpet, walls and who knows what else, weed smell, holes on the walls, really bad customer service. And I can keep on going. Not worth to save 20 or 30 dollars or even the same price, but elsewhere. Never to come back here! DON'T RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL AT ALL!!
Great find for the price. It has a cabin feel by the looks of the establishment. Its not high end by any means but comfortable. Had a great night of sleep without having to look out the window to see if my car was ok. There is a liquor store/laundromat with restaurants within walking distance. I will be back for sure if im ever in this area...
Incredible spot for live music and great beers. LA needs more spots like this. We need live music!I had the best time and the pizza was FANTASTIC. Love the 86 pizza. Red amber ale was my favorite. Can't remember the exact name but it was smooth!
The cuts of meat are incredible, although small portions. I'd recommended starting with the cheaper cuts and working your way up to the Wagyu - after you've had the Japanese A5 Wagyu, the other cuts are ruined for you. I've heard people describe the
One of those places that you want to gatekeep but also want them to have a thriving business. Their pastries are made with the highest quality and served with the highest care. Everyone comes for the wonderful black sesame choux à la crème and it i
