I've been here before and it was really good. This time, I had the breakfast egg sandwich in a croissant. The croissant was hard. I'll have to go back and give them another try. Maybe it was a bad day for croissants. I'll try it again, tho. First time I was there i had a fig Danish. And it was amazing. All these other Danish look amazing. The coffee I had was also really good.

First hand this place serves some of the best pastries in town and the drinks are top notch as well. They have delightful drink options for Vegans as well. The piano in the corner is in pretty good tune, not perfect which I actually like, but good enough for Cafe jazz standards. Line can often be out the door but it actually moves really fast so don't let that deter you.

Place has a lot of potential but....We ordered the egg salad sandwich and the barrio sandwich. Egg salad sandwich only came with egg salad and not the sprouts, pickled onion, etc they have listed on the menu. However they remade it for us. They were out of all their different lemonades. They didn't have the specific coffee for one of their drinks listed and we needed to have them grab oat milk for us when we already told them at the register. There's a lot of potential here though. Staff was friendly and good location.

Love supporting local. Fun place to visit, they have fun seating options, games available and patio if desired. Bagels, seasonal drinks and tasty savory treats are appreciated. For my very first time I was a bit thrown off when going from a side door towards the register only to realize I was standing behind another couple who were kindly trying to figure out how we were all supposed to be in line that was quickly getting long towards the front entrance. That’s an understandable mistake for the first timers. Once at the register I slightly felt rushed because there was so much to take in( thanks for patience to all behind ). I got a tasty black tea and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I’ll have to come back to try more goodies.

I love this place. We ride our bikes here and have a relaxing bite or drink. Today mixing in a little reading and playing a game. The avocado toast is as yummy as it is beautiful! The people are lovely.

I have been here a few times. In the past the pastries have been from good to excellent. Today my cinnamon roll was not fresh. It was not soft. When I asked for a dark coffee, the girl who took my order said they didn’t have dark coffee unless it was decaf. Yet the sign that I ordered from did not indicate that the dark coffee I wanted was decaf. At this point she got a little bit annoyed with me which I felt was unwarranted. It took 30 minutes from the time I arrived to get my order taken, and my coffee handed to me. 30 minutes for a coffee and a pastry. In addition to that my pour over coffee cost more than Starbucks at a whopping six dollars for a medium size coffee. Just a regular coffee nothing fancy. I won’t be going back.

I’ve been going to barrios for about a year now and I’ll say its definitely worth a try. It’s very hit or miss. Some days they serve delicious coffees and breakfast treats, and some days they just don’t. Recently I went with my friends and we got food and drinks, it was amazing! Carmelita with oat milk is my go too, it’s creamy and sweet. Catch them on a good day and you won’t be sorry! Definitely worth a visit (or two)

Great early breakfast joint downtown Sacramento. Nothing to exotic on the menu all staples. Capital breakfast on croissants is fulfilling.
