Who doesn't love a corner ice cream stand? This adorable little place has been around a very long time. Just look for the sputnik style light on the roof at the corner of Garfield and Front St! Take a short stroll and enjoy your ice cream at beautiful Bryant Park a mere block away. Convenient location on a main thoroughfare. Not just delicious treats like cones, sundaes and malts. They also have delicious pulled pork and sloppy joe sandwiches. Hot dogs & nachos too. Don't forget to get a t-shirt or sweatshirt while you're there to commemorate your visit.
Edited after 24hrs...Great little one cream shop. Next time I'm going to try the flavored soft serve........ And it's the next day, can't believe how insanely rude the service is, I didn't even bother ordering for myself after the attitude I got from ordering for my kids. Maybe next year
A delightful treat after climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes, well needed. The staff was super helpful and the flavors were delicious. Everything I tasted was on point. I'd definitely recommend this as a quick snack.
At the intersection of Garfield and Front Street sits Borden's: a walk-up ice cream shop that's Traverse City through and through. You'll find Moomer's, sundaes, banana splits, frostiest, and every type of flavor ice cream you can dream up on a cone or in a cup. If you're not into ice cream, they also have hot dogs, sloppy joes, nachos, and pretzels. Staff wears masks (thank you!) and this place NOW TAKES CARD PAYMENT (whoop whoop). Pretty decent amount of parking. Bring your patience: the line moves quickly but this is a popular place. I uploaded their hours via photos. Thanks Bardon's!
