I wish I would have known about all the amazing resources the library offers years ago. I love that you can check out books and also get the audio book using the Libby app. I also love that you can reserve books and renew if you need more time. But it’s all the extras that I really wish I would have know about like the museum passes, cooking classes, craft events and so much more. What a gem the library is. I encourage everyone to go get your library pass. Also, even if this library doesn’t have the book you are looking for they will get it from a different library for you. It’s really an amazing place.
A bright, clean location with friendly employees. It's great that they offer passes to local attractions.
Color copies only 30 cents per page! Excellent service for small coping jobs. Very helpful and professional staff. I love this place 💕
Stopped by this library for the very first time last weekend. Myriad of books (used/new) for sale available at the entrance. Upon entering, I saw an oversized information/reference desk n several staff members. Alongside was the children section, which was our sole purpose for the day, basically, Spending time at the library, reading lots of books and working on puzzles. Children section is equipped with some of the remarkable books, numerous puzzles, Blocks, Some computers, and a few other building toys. Besides, Enough seating available for the grown-ups ministering their kids. I needed a Library card, that took me only a couple minutes to acquire which plainly indicates the professional and skilled staff. Albeit I couldn't find appropriate books to purchase that day, my daughter n I had a wonderful hour.
I have nothing against homeless people but they should do something about having a separate area for them. I started coming to this library because is convenient for me but I guess I have to stop because the smell is unbearable. Today when I walked the first thing that hit you is that smell. As I go in was a lady right at the entrance after the second set of doors and omg the smell was horrible I saw the staff spraying deodorizer to contain the smell but that did not help. Also they come and sit where you going to do your task and you don’t know what they bring from outside. Kids come to this library and the poor kids have to endure the smell. The whole library smells like really bad body odor and urine.
Beautiful and neat library with very friendly and helpful staff. I went in there to make some photo copies since ups now charges $7 fee now plus 49 cents per copy. The library charges no fee and 15 cents per copy in black and white.
I do love this library. The material I need is extremely hard to find. One issue I have is people falling asleep. Hear me out. I have health problems. Most of my meds causes drowsiness. A few months back I fell asleep a few times which prompted one of the volunteers to threaten me with trespass if I did it again. But it is okay when this homeless guy (pic) keeps getting a warning from staff and the security guard without warning of a trespass. I have nothing against homeless people. But I don't like the library system being a hypocrite towards me but not this guys. Your system needs to be fixed.
I will give 4 stars with this being my first visit The place is clean and the staff is nice and helpful, HOWEVER it seems as though almost every book I searched and wanted to check out wasnt available at that location. I could see if they were just checked out but they weren't available at all. I do believe they need to upgrade and re-do their inventory, even if it is only even or level with that if the other libraries in the area. Other then that this place was pretty nice. Personally I enjoyed the at Petersburg location better just because of this aspect and may make the extra 15 min drive.
