The menu is really affordable and the bar has some great drinks. The covered patio space and high ceilings makes the whole space seem airy and light. Great service from the servers. This is a great spot for solo dining and bringing a date.

Such a fun place and really lovely outdoor space to enjoy in the warm weather (patio in the back). Cocktails were the star of the show - try the holy smokes and the tequila one heh. We got the tuna melt, the Reuben, and the ortolana. Also fries and onion rings 🥰 Generally, everything was great, but more of a heavy food place. By that I mean, if you’re looking for a lot of lighter options, it might not be the spot for you. But if you’re looking for delicious sandwiches, burgers, pizza… this is a great spot with the ambiance to match. ALSO: they have a very accessible menu (see photos) and actually tell you exactly what is GF, DF, NF, veg, etc. really appreciate that!

I absolutely love this place. Step inside and you're transported to a different time and place. There's high ceilings, abundant plants, a cool bar, and maybe best of all an enclosed space that feels like a conservatory or something... pretty cool for sure. Drinks are spot on, and all the food items I've had were well executed. Onion rings, the mushreuban sandwich, fried chicken nuggets... satisfying! I particularly appreciate the well behaved dog friendly nature of the patio. Thank you, Bar Vacilando!

Great food and a beautiful covered patio. Perfect for lunch on a rainy day. The fish tacos were great, but they would be better on a corn tortilla instead of flour. The fries were well seasoned and perfectly crispy.

My partner ordered the BLT which I did not take pictures of, but picture a stock photo of a perfect BLT cut triangle-style (best style) and that’s what it looked like and tasted like. He said, “I don’t normally care about BLTs, but I think I loved that one.” Well said, sir. I had the Earl Grey panna cotta and hot tea. The place is very beautiful inside and relaxing. They also played Waiting Room by Fugazi so 5/5 stars from me.

My food pics speak for themselves. What they don't say is how great the staff are! Ben is our usual lunchtime server and he's awesome! It's a great place to regroup after a hectic work morning! The Vacilando burgers and the chaat chicken are a must try. And the onion rings are fire🔥!

Cute vibes! But menu drinks were just OK and we ordered fries twice and they never came and then we were charged for fries on our bill. Luckily the bartender was SO SWEET and made sure they refunded me for that. But yah overall was meh, I’ll come back for a casual round at the bar probably but I wont bother for a full evening with table service.

EDIT: To my surprise, the owner responded below. While I did not expect or ask for a refund, it looks like they felt necessary the need to do so. This goes a long way for me. To be clear, I work at Kaiser (Across the street) the food did not have far to travel. Maybe next time I try Bar Vacilando, I'll just eat it there instead of taking it back to my office. I've updated my Service review to 5 stars. Thank you for the response. $14.50 for a single patty burger with a tomato sliced so thin you can see through it put on soggy black-edged lettuce, paired with some decently good fries and a $5 8 OZ soda. There is a reason this place is always empty. Don't even waste your time. You'd think if they were charging so much for mediocre food, they'd at least have service with a smile while they rob you.
