We had the perfect small wedding reception at Union Hall at Bar Marco. The staff was all lovely and very easy to work with (especially Emi and Andrew!). They helped us customize everything from menu to music & decor. On the day of, the Bar Marco staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The food and drinks were AMAZING and everyone raved about the menu afterward! Can't wait to come back for dinner soon.
My wife and I come here often. We visited yesterday with my in-laws from that came to visit from out of town. They have a great selection of wine and will recommend a pairing with your order. The bar tender is exceptional and even made a mocktale for my MIL who doesn't drink. The menu is creative and ingredients feel farm-to-table. My go to spot for good drinks and good food in the strip district.
We had a great experience and got to taste some amazing foods! I work at Caputo Brothers Creamery and we were in town for an outdoor festival. Bar Marco uses some of our cheese on their menu. The service and the food were excellent. Next time I need to spend the night in Pittsburgh so I can order a cocktail or try some of their natural wine selection.
First time eating at Bar Marco. Prefix menu with 2 courses. Tip is also included in the bill. I had the carrot sformato and the rigatoni. Both dishes were excellent! However, I thought that the portions were small for the price. I also thought that the restaurant needed to be freshened up, and that the service was in need of improvement. We asked our server for recommendations and she said that the menu changes often so she couldn’t really give one. I understand that to a certain point as she can’t try everything. However, it’s odd that she couldn’t comment on anything. She also wasn’t very friendly and neither were the gentleman that brought us our food. They weren’t rude but rather stoic which I expected more from a restaurant that Pittsburgh Magazine consistently rates as one of the best place to dine in Pittsburgh. I think if Bar Marco can improve on the atmosphere and service they’ll be top notch!
Been waiting to get a reservation here for a while and finally got to go. Fantastic place with a cozy and calm atmosphere. The food was delicious and slightly on the small portion. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. What blew me away about Bar Marco was they do not accept tip. For a fine place, the 2 course menu was $45 per person which was very reasonably priced. Would come back again
Came to Bar Marco for dinner. The food was pretty good, I had the baked ricotta with shishito peppers.. something I’ve never had together before. The fusilli was my main, and I really enjoyed the ragu sauce with it. Was so full we skipped dessert. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice too!
A cute place that was hard to find since we were not from PA. It's in an old fire engine building. Drinks were really good and I especially loved my espresso martini. Not overly impressed with the food unfortunately. Although my steak was cooked perfectly, the pasta dish with sausage was way too spicy to enjoy. It was described as having chili flake in it, but it had much more of a kick that expected. The cannoli was not good. The filling was thin and had a lemon/herb taste and was terrible. We didn't even finish it. Sadly, this was our least favorite meal of our trip. Also, it was $8 to get 4 slices of bread and dipping oil. A little much IMO. Would go back maybe for drinks only.
First time in Pittsburgh, wanted to try the best restaurant in town, and this didn’t disappoint. I’m absolutely in love with their potato gnocchi. The desserts were all right but the meal itself was WOW!! We also found out that it’s “no a tip” restaurant which made it very affordable for what we got!
My favorite restaurant!! Cozy, delicious, & quaint neighborhood spot. Sicilian style menu. I love this place so much. Recommend reservation as it is a small restaurant.

I don't know Italian food very well... I ordered what was on special that night and I loved every bite. Think we're headed back there tonight! ð And our server wrote out what I ordered so I'd know for next time. So good!
I was introduced to Cafe Notte by a friend a few weeks ago, and I'm thrilled that I was. The ambiance is reminiscent of a charming little dark bar with a captivating mafia vibe. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is awesome, and the fact that it
