Bandit - Tacos & Coffee - Taco restaurant in Madison - 640 W Washington Ave, USA

Really helpful and fun counter staff, stellar happy hour options (even on a Thursday night at 7:30pm!), and good tacos. Our favorites were the whitefish, short rib, and beet, though all were tasty. The margaritas on tap were STRONG for $6 (hurray!!!) and their tap Mexican lager was delish and a great value at $3 during happy hour. We'd return!

LOVED this place. Tried the short rib and the bandit tacos. Both were divine and swoonworthy! The staff is kind and welcoming. The vibe is terrific for hanging out. Love the free drip coffee with a purchase special happening now. The churros were good but for being a little undone, gooey and custardy in the centers; I'll give them another try in the future though. I'll be back soon!

I came here for a birthday dinner and it's a nice cozy place. I had the short beef taco and it was so good! I ordered the house, Margarita was also, delish! You do have to go up and order your food and they will bring it to you. Limited menu, but I like that because I can never decide what I want lol!

What a great spot for Madison! It is unique (tacos AND coffee) and sources much of their food locally. Make sure to check out their chalkboard telling you where the tortillas are from that week! Order at the counter and pick your own table. Everything we ordered was delicious, I would definitely go again when in town!

This is a go to weekly spot for me. Tacos are always fresh and delicious. The house margaritas hit the spot every time. Very simple but warm dining room and the outdoor dining by the train tracks is great on a summer day. The best secret is their coffee beans. Grab a bag while you are in there! You won't regret it!

Although I love tacos, at too many places they're served on brittle, overly starchy tortillas, half-filled with sloppy ingredients. Not so at Bandit; the tortillas are freshly made in-house each and every day, the ingredients generously portioned and irresistible in taste. The guacamole is very tasty, and the tortilla chips thick and flavorful. Try Bandit out--but please, leave some for me too!

Fantastic coffee, drinks, and tacos! Great vibes especially now when it's cold. It's a little hidden but completely worth it!

Really tasty tacos! The only thing I would change is the tortillas. They should offer flour tortillas. The corn ones were not good. Cute place though.
