Extremely secluded yet wonderful place to overnight. I gave it 4 stars for location because it is 10 to 15 minutes off the main highway up a very twisty and narrow road. The drive is not however difficult and the surrounding terrain is very Lush and tropical. The home itself is very well appointed with all the comforts and nice furnishings. Coffee on the lanai in the morning overlooking the valley is very nice and serene. You can get away from the tourist buzz by using this as a base to venture from, you may even decide to just spend the day here to decompress.

My son, his friend and I stayed in the Haleakala suite in December 2021. Two bedrooms, full kithcen and living area. Very quiet and clean. Had a nice tray of breakfast foods and snacks when we arrived, clean linens, towerls, beach chairs, beach towels. They also have laundry facilities which was awesome. Went to Haiku Market to stock up on food and cooked, ate in and were able to use cooler provided to pack lunches. Enjoyed using BBQ to cook and eat outside at night. Since it was December, any good snorkeling was on the South or West side of Maui and that was a minimum 1 hour drive to get to. This is not the fault of the hosts; I should have really thought about whether it made sense for me to do that much driving versus staying on the West side where I could walk to snorkeling in December. Since I have chronic pain issues, the driving to get anywhere was too much for me. My son and his friend are also gamers and our internet did not work when it rained and I heard a lot of complaints about this. Folks who are not addicted to being on computers (or who do not need access to email 24 hours per day like I do for my job) will not care about this at all but I am sharing our experience. We did enjoy see turtles basking on local beaches and went on a lovely visit to Haleakala where it had snowed. If you want to see places along the Road to Hana, then this is an ideal place to stay. Since it is so quiet, I would suggest that perhaps hosts leave some board games in the suite for folks to use.

Our first trip to Maui and what a wonderful choice in lodging. A secluded home in paradise. You never want to leave. Our hosts provided for our every need in great comfort. We can’t wait to return.

The stay here was a definite highlight of our trip. We travelled with our adult son and this provided a great space to relax in after a day in Maui. Being close to the road to Hana and Haleakala National Park was a nice plus. Beds were really comfortable, place was clean, there was an outside shower, grill and laundry facilities. Beach chairs and towels, a cooler and boogie boards were also provided. A tray with coffee, tea and breakfast snacks was provided and the kitchen is well equipped. Overall a great place to stay!

Lovely quiet place. My dad and I stayed in the ground floor two bedroom unit and it was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable, not too fancy. Thoughtful touches in the kitchen and bathroom like popcorn and after sun lotion were a nice surprise. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when back in Maui.

Very nice rooms, beautiful common area in suite, very clean and well-appointed. A refuge in the rain forest. Not too far from what we wanted to see in Hawaii. Close to North Shore attractions. About 45 minutes to Haleakala and the South Shore for the sunny beaches. Delighted mom and teenaged son alike. If you are not into a big resort, but still like nice accommodations, this is a great choice. I did not find the driving to be too taxing and conveniences were not too far away.

Lovely accommodations nestled in lush surroundings. Short drive to the local sand and surf. We also drove to the Haleakala Volcano less than an hour away. Tom and Vicky are the best hosts making sure you have everything you need! The kitchen is stocked with all the basics making it feel like home. They even stocked the fireplace with Duraflame logs so we had cozy fires on the cooler nights. Beautiful and clean decor. We loved staying here and even met another couple from the Netherlands on their honeymoon as well. Also visiting with their horse made each morning special. We highly recommend staying at the Bamboo Valley Inn and can't wait until our next time as well!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo Valley Inn! The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for ... to have a nice, quiet place away from the resorts with everything needed to make our own meals ... and located close to Hana Highway in an area where we could access most any place on Maui within an hours drive. There was a local grocery store about 5 minutes from the Inn, and Costco was only about 20-30 mins away. Baldwin Beach was nice and only about a 15 minute drive away ... Thank you Tom and Vicki. We had a great time!

I’m so glad that I was able to eat here on my short trip to Maui. Rainbow Kitchen was easily my favorite meal in all of Maui. The whole menu is plant based and super unique. I ordered the breakfast burrito, kale salad, and the mighty bowl and each

Beautiful spot, water is a little chilly, but still warmer than home. Can’t park close to the falls, but the short walk down the highway isn’t a deal breaker at all.

Amazing hike one of my favorites on the island. It’s a 2 mile hike there and back (4 mile hike total). This hike has a bamboo forest, waterfalls, rivers, huge trees, and lots of greenery. It does take awhile to get up there on the road to Hana but

One of the last spot you can swimming. Hike it’s kind of hard but you have to use chain right beside the bridge to get down. The chain it’s on left side of the bridge when you back to Paia. Awesome place and you can have some privacy

So I asked around with locals and this name kept coming up. Worth the drive and totally worth every cent! Sit at the counter and watch how fast the chefs are, fastest I've seen in all of the sushi places I've been too. Sushi is fresh and delicious. N
