Stopped here for some drinks and appetizers. I was super pleased with everything! The Arnold Palmer (lemonade and iced tea) was so refreshing and the pink drink reminded me of the Starbucks drink but with alcohol, extremely tasty. I fell in love with the Caprese Flatbread. It had so much flavor from the cheeses and the cherry tomatoes burst into your mouth. The chicken wings also hit the spot, perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of sauce. Food was a bit pricey being appetizers, but well worth it. I also liked the fact that my dog was able to join us since we sat down in the patio section.
YUM!! So good! We had the Irish chips. That’s a mountain of chips! He had a sausage platter. I had corned beef. His hot toddy was good. I would come here again! They do a lot of live music.
Reservations cannot be made at the Downers Grove location near the stage, however one table was reserved for friends of the owner on a Friday night when they had a band. Is this good customer service? If you're going to allow reservations for one party (only owners friends) everyone should be able to make reservations. With that said the food was excellent and our waitress was attentive. I recommend you eat there during the day.
Good food and really awesome atmosphere, came on an open mic night got to talk with the musicians and experienced outstanding service from staff. Great place to visit when passing through town.
Dark, dramatic and cozy spot with a delicious menu, good beers, excellent liquor selection and consistently wonderful service. The patio is great for the summer but it's my favorite cold weather place. I recommend it for a date night, family lunch or bellying up to the bar for a quick drink before heading home. Love music is their most frequent events and you'll be sure to discover new musicians because of it. Worked here as a hostess over a decade ago and still find myself returning throughout the years... what hasn't changed though? The delicious Irish chips. Order those for the table or just yourself and you'll thank me.
We truly enjoyed our expereince here. We were with a party in one of the group rooms. The food was excellent, they served buffet style and everything was fresh and tasty. We liked the fish and chips, the hamburger and pulled pork sliders were really good, the salad was wonderful amnd the fries are very good too! Our servier was alwasy there to refill drinks and to keep the food coming. The party room was pretty nice with some booths and a videao screen of the band olaing live music. There also was a cutain in our room which open for the main stage band at 9pm which was pretty cool. I hightly recommend you go there or consider a group event as well!
I had their corned beef bites, bangers and mash and a side of the chips. The bites and bangers and mash are delicious and you get a really good amount of food. The chips I didn't like so much because they had sugar on them. But overall the food and the service was really good. I highly recommend this place.
It's been a long time since I've been here and while I wasn't a regular I used to go quite a bit-i have 2 t-shirts from Ballydoyle. My friends used to do the open mic night and I saw an awesome 80s cover band here maybe 15 years ago. It is not near as good as I remember it. They used to have a better menu and the place feels a bit seedier now? Honestly we went here because there was a 45 min wait at Pierces Tavern and I'm not sure I'd rush back. The duo they had I guess is there every Sunday and they were enjoyable. No more fried pickles but the corned beef was very tender. Fish in the fish and chips was dry. The cocktail tasted like a liquid tiramisu but they were out if the 2 beers I tried to order.
