I was surprised by the exhibits upstairs. Though small, it was very thorough and informative, and best of all, free. Gift shop was stocked and staff was very pleasant. There were even brochures for other activities in the area. Definitely worth a pop in.
Great place to learn about the history and purpose of the Locks, and completely for free. Comes with a free theatre showing too. Worth checking out as this small visitor centre is highly educational.
Fun, educational, and very cool attraction! Went on a Monday morning in late June and had no trouble getting parking right outside the botanical gardens (north side of the locks). Walked right in and saw a tugboat rising in the locks, a train going over the nearby bridge, and then tons of sockeye salmon in the fish ladder viewing area.
Finally we found a free park at great Seattle area that does not cost arms and legs!
After a week of visiting many locations and shrinks my wallet quickly, now I feels guilty to not paying hefty cost to visit anywhere in this city.
And to be honest this place is fan for both the fish observation and the process of letting ship go.
They do maintains several bathrooms on both side. It is almost like unreal.
May God Bless who runs this park.
Great place to visit and take out of town guests. Very interesting and educational. I think most people enjoy exploring the locks, surrounding park and museum. And it's all free!
Great place to see salmon during spawn season; you will likely see plenty of other wild life such as seals too. As a plus, this place is connected to a very beautiful botanical garden. Limited paid parking lot right outside of the visitor center.
This visitor center is small but fantastic. My kids love the interactive exhibits and we always learn something new. Free and worth a visit
Interesting information on the history of the Ballard Locks as well as the environmental impact of its construction

This is a super neat hidden gem! I went here once in a date, and once with my boys. It was tough to keep an eye on my eight year old to keep him from breaking an antique phone! I want to visit once more just by myself so I can take my time looking at
Went in for the Nobody Lives Here exhibit and joined a tour of the old hotel and shop adjacent. Our guide was excellent and did a good job engaging a quiet group and providing some interesting information. The tour felt immersive and is a must for th
My favorite (and closest to me) local swim spot. The driftwood Bay has 2 patches of kelp usually full of life and further out, when depths get ~10m, are fields of seapens.
Coleman pool is great; 50m lanes and one of the few saltwater ones. They fill

My wife and I came here by accident. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the taste of real coffee. But the main thing is a pleasant atmosphere, unobtrusive quiet music, a cultured audience and very friendly staff. A small coffee shop with a big
I started at this gym in Oct 2023 as I was getting back into my fitness journey after a prolonged hiatus and I couldnât have picked a better place to re-enter. Iâd been to a few F45 gyms on trial and enjoyed my experience. This location was close

What a great gym with some lovely people. Everyone here is so welcoming whether you're experienced or not. The classes are motivating and fun. Highly recommend!
I really liked this place! Most patrons are playing with the board games provided, or the Foosball, pinball machines, and darts upstairs. The beers on tap were great. And this place has a unique location of being in an alley way. I will definitely
