Connections and adventures.
This park includes a pleasant wooded trail perfect for walking, running and biking. If you want to hang out at the pool in season or play a little hoop you can here.
Kids? The playground area has been updated with a nice covered seated area with plenty of space to enjoy family lunch.
Austin is full of kind folks who love the outdoors!
I've also met cool dogs here.
I love dogs.
Balcones Park has been getting a lot of upgrades over the last year or two, with work done to the playgrounds and pool. They look like fun and it's usually full of kids. I'm mostly there because of Pokemon Go - there are 5-7 nearby spins and a gym. It's always a nest of some kind and I check back regularly, but it's a great place to park with some coffee, get in a bunch of spins and presents, and maybe catch something cool. It's one of my regular gaming and hiking parks and I like it.
A very nice north side park! Has a two sizes of playground equipment for kids; a small one for little kids and a big one with a couple very cool larger slides. There's also a nice free public swimming pool, and a great walking trail through a little bit of woods.
A public area with concrete walking trails used by runners, walkers, domestic dogs (on and off leash) and pedal bikers. Botanically speaking, the flora is worth taking the time to stop and look closely at it.
Very nice walk level, uphill and down. Wide cement path for walking, biking, skate boarding, etc. The weather was perfect with a nice slow cool breeze. Saw an alligator and a very large snake! The park is nice too.
I love this little trail. Paved with some elevation change. It connects up to Walnut Creek if you want to take a longer walk. The loop through Balcones takes you by some nice street art as well.
Great community pool. A few tables with a sun shade and a sort of grassy patch with trees. The lifeguards were polite and we will for sure go back.
Great entrance to the walnut Creek trail system. Just like most Austin trails there are tons of great soon off trails. Also there is a pretty large spring that starts here, so it can be educational for the youngsters! If you want to hike through to walnut Creek the trails are marked well and keep you off of any roads. Most of the entire trail system here is very accessible. Please enjoy the Bluebonnet pictures :)

We've been coming here for years and love it. Great for the whole family. We play on the playground, throw airplanes or frisbees in the open area, fly kites when it's windy. We usually get food from one of the nearby restaurants since it's an easy wa
Love this park! The city keeps it clean and maintained. There are several bakeries and bars nearby within a minute walk, and Thinkery. The ducks are so friendly and there are many places to sit and read in the grass, on the steps, and on benches. Ice
Longhorn Shores a Town Lake has the easiest parking areas in my opinion. The Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike is well maintained with beautiful views of the City of Austin, plenty of park benches along the trail to relax and enjoy the day. Make su
We saw this on one of the bus tours. We definitely could have stayed longer than the bus allowed, but the views are beautiful! Worth visiting while in the area. The bus driver did warn that if you're taking your own car, park it close to the stairs b
We revisited this playground for the first time in years and discovered they'd upgraded the equipment in the last few months. This is a really nice playground! And if you park at the Floral Park Dr trailhead, it makes a really nice destination for a
This is amazing! Truly...I didn't even know that this place existed until just recently. It's now one of my favorite hiking spots. If you'd like to check out a beautiful nature hike in Austin...here you go.
Hidden gem in the middleof East Austin. A beautiful easy trail you walk, run or bike. Dogs are welcome, signage along the way. Crosses two beautiful bridges, a community garden, a subtrail along the water and a metro crossing station.
I used to work right across the street from here and I'd bring my dog over here to run around and get some air when I brought him to work with me. It is well maintained and well-manicured. Be careful walking through here at night, though, there can
Perfect park if you want to walk, not too big or small, and if you're bored, you are within walking distance from the domain. But the sights at sunset are worth seeing.
There is a restroom next to the pond and rock. Usually, there is someone nearby
One of the best part in north Austin. Have playground for kids of all ages. The park has baseball ground, tennis court, volleyball court, picnic tables/shed as well as a decent size trail. Worth going with family & friends!
This place is fantastic! I had such a great workout! The treadmills are excellent, and you can actually feel a difference between Strideâs treadmills and regular ones. The teacher Rachael was clear and encouraging. The vibes were great: modificatio
A feeling of calm radiates from this lovely coffee truck. I observed many regulars (including pups) interacting in a community way. A canopy of a ginormous pecan tree gives the Terrible Love protection as well protecting some of the abundant greener
Our experience at Bar AC was fantastic! We had a great time and it was a wonderful send-off for our friend. The cocktails were top-notch, and the service was excellent. Courtney, our waitress, was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. If

This is by far one of the best cocktail bars Iâve ever been to. Chill vibe, great interior design, excellent & friendly bartenders, and most importantly GREAT COCKTAILS! Blown away by these creative sips. Watching the two bart
Elite coffee spot. I make a physical effort to stop by each time I'm in town, and I'd be here every day if I lived in Austin. Try the pumpkin spice latte, they make it the perfect level of not too sweet
As someone who has tried most gyms, studios, and boot camps in this city, I can confidently say that Cristian is, hands down, the best trainer in the city!

Stumbled upon this gem on South 1st and was able to try a variety of fresh samples. As a plant based eater, I was blown away at the creativity given to the menu. The Campfire Chili is hands down the best chili Iâve tasted. The owner Aaron was very
This was such an amazing experience! My friends and I visited from NC, and the workout kicked our butts (in a good way). We had such a great time talking to the owner, Jordan, and the coaches, Dawson and Josh, as well as the members. There is a great
I accidentally signed up for a more advanced class and was feeling a little unsure upon arriving, but Shelby immediately put me at ease and made me feel so comfortable. I had by far one of the most rewarding experiences with yoga I have ever had! Her
Visited Austin for the weekend and took the free trial at Ambush. It was awesome and I would definitely recommend checking this gym out. I've been training Muay Thai and MMA for ~ 2-3 years now and this gym is great for learning Muay Thai and striki
