Badlands Hotel & Campground - Hotel in Interior - 900 SD-377, USA

As part of a road trip (SD, WY, MT), planning to visit Badlands National Park, we stayed here one night to get an early start from the east end of the park. Needed a room for 5 which was adequate. No ice available outside office hours (closed before 10 pm; we arrived after 8:30 pm). Located in Interior (pop. 94!) so limited facilities, except in the National Park campground and visitor center. The location was great. The price was reasonable. The place was adequate, though showing its age and relatively clean. Two of our group had difficulty sleeping because of the beds. If you're looking for no frills but well-located old-style motel, this fits the bill. Hot cooked breakfast available after 8:00 am (not part of our stay). The campground store is typical--limited inventory and somewhat overpriced.

We absolutely love this campground. I’ve stayed here a couple times and it’s in a great location! They have clean bathrooms and showers. Decently spacious spots. Hookups. And a cute little pool. Service was also fabulous. If you don’t plan to boondock and want a close campground to the park with hookups then this is perfect.

This campground is in the BEST location if you are coming to visit the badlands. The staff were some of the nicest people and they have a wonderful breakfast thats reasonably priced! There is a nice walking path and there's not a bad view as you face the badlands landscape.

We didn't stay in the motel but stayed in the rv campground. The space was clean with full hookups. The store was lacking supplies needed and laundry room was just standard. The views are what make this place amazing.

Positive: Staff was excellent and went out of the way to make my stay comfortable from helping me adjust room temperature, giving me a bandage for a hiking blister. Special shout out to Fawn and her husband. Appreciated having car rinse station for road dust. Negative: Ice was in the office and only available during office hours.

Small and quiet campground. Decent pull through sites. They are very limited on 50 Amp sites but had a fair amount of 30 Amp. In addition to the full hook up sites there are multiple tent sites and a hotel on the property. I appreciated the type of stone they use on the roads of the campground because they didn't cause any dust as people drove up and down them. If you know, you know campground dust can be horrible. They have an above ground pool, laundry, showers, convenient store, and little breakfast diner. The views from the campground are of the Badlands.

My son really wanted me to leave this review. :-) This is a really nice place to stop and relax for a few days. The breakfast is wonderful (he ate 3 pancakes!). The beds are very comfortable and we were super happy that we could have our dog in the room with us. If we come this way again, we will try out their campground which looked really nice too!

The rooms are clean and equipped with all the basic fourniture we needed. You can park the vehicle in front of the doors which is very practical. It’s close to the national park and you can go and see the sun rise.
