Great place to swim, and take pictures underwater. No pets allowed during swimming season. No life guards on duty. You can fly drones, best when no people. Against the law to fly over people. 5 stars for photographers. 5 stars for being at a safe place. 5 stars for picnic sites. My cat loves to be at Badin Lake pass the swim area. We hike on the trails there along the lake. Fishing is great, too.
We stopped here while driving back from Morrow Mountain. Beautiful lake views. The swim area seems to be marked pretty well with safety flotation dividers. I'm sure this must be a lot of fun in warm weather when it is open for swimming (May 15 - September 15).
Has a place for boats to access the water, plenty of places to sit and fish, and a nice sized swimming area. Lovely scenery of the surrounding trees
Family had fun. Not a big fan of all the rocks. Would recommend taking water shoes. Have fun! 😄
What a wonderful time We had at Badin Lake! It was a spontaneous family picnic with the kids as well as the grand kids! We took blankets and poratble tables and chairs. However, there where a few tables available. There were port-a-jons only! But we still managed to have tons of fun watching the kids play in the water and playing in the water as well.
Such a great place to picnic and swim and they offer fishing open from sunup to sundown family fun all day
Nice place to go to the lake. They have places for you to swim and fish. Also have a boat loading ramp down the street. Place can get pretty busy during the summer on weekends. I find it very peaceful to go during the week days.
This place is great except for the bathroom situation. I get it's free. But the war crimes in the portajons are just unacceptable. If you're not going to have clean accommodations, don't have them at all.
Man one of the coolest coffee shops I have been and one of the first places I look for when I'm in a new town. This place is much bigger than it looks. You'll pass a lot of local wards for sale to get to the coffee shop in the back. There are hidden
I live about 90 mi away from this location but enjoy visiting it multiple times a year to observe the seasonal changes. My primary use is camping and hiking but occasionally I will have a picnic out at Kings Mountain Point. It's great to have a Natio
Plenty of parking area. Store near by to walk to, and restaurants. Excellent place to ease your boat into the water. Places to park your vehicle and trailer under some shade trees. Badin has fishing tournaments several times a year. Get in the action
