Absolutely gorgeous view and the BBQ was so so delicious! We will definitely be back! The judges plate was a great item to share and try everything plus the lobster mac was amazing!
My husband and I have gone here one multiple occasions and have even told our family and friends to go here. But after my experience yesterday we won’t be doing that anymore! My husband always gets the rougarou fries and always loves them. But yesterday they were soggy and soaked in au jus, which made the fries soggy instead of crispy like French fries should be. (So much so that I went to take the dish up to the counter and the grease spilled all over my clothes and my hands.) I went up to the front to ask the cashier about it, and she told me it wasn’t her issue. So I asked “can I ask the people behind the counter” and she said “You can try” so I walked up to what I assume to be the owner who looked at me and told me “they are all made the same way!” Which I said no but they are soaked and he told me “no it’s au jus” while getting VERY hostile and not even looking at my tray that was dripping with au jus. I told him “I have been here multiple times and it’s never been like this as I was walking away he continued to talk very rudely behind the counter! I don’t care how good your food is there is no reason to start jumping down costumes throats when they come to you with an issue. We will NOT be back and I will continue to tell everyone my experience! You shouldn’t treat kind good paying customers with such disrespect. I’m honestly ashamed to have given you any of mine and my husband hard earn money. If I were you I would think twice about going, the food is good but the second something is wrong they will refuse to make it right and then act as if you are so insensitive to bring a issue to their attention. EDITED* and with this comment “ I was very busy as we served 250 people in 4 h”. YOU now know where their value you is. Quantity over quality!
Stopped by on our way home from Manitowish Waters, and it was awesome. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. Loved sitting down by the water on lawn chairs and listening to the live music from above. This will definitely be a stop every time I am up in the Northwoods!
We are very regular customers and have been for quite some time. The food is always very good and you get a generous serving size. If you go away hungry, you're doing something wrong! Keep up the great work guys!
Came in for late dinner, got the last BBQ meat lovers pizza, and last curds of the day! Everything cam out in about 20m, totally reasonable. The brisket meal was amazing. Paired with conchy super fresh home made coleslaw and cheesy(?) pit beans that were outta this world!! The French fries were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and curds have phenomenal breading. Nicely curved high backed seating was very comfortable. Huge craft beer and craft soda selection This is a must stop if you are nearby..even if you're not. (Note- Parking can be tight if you have a trailer, especially during the winter + not a huge dining room, be prepared to wait/eat outside during peak hours!)
First time here with my partner! I ordered the Carolina fries, he ordered the brisket sandwich and fries. Wow, wow, wow! My meal was piled high with pulled pork and slaw over fries. It was a mountain of a beast meal! I had leftovers! They had 12 different kinds of sauces, I've never been to a place that served that many! I got to try some and they all tasted fantastic, my meal was spectacular! 5 out of 5! If I'm ever back in the area, this would be my top choice! Highly recommend!
We stopped for lunch and tried the smoked turkey and pulled pork. This was some tender, tasty and very flavorful BBQ! With a collection of many different BBQ Sauces available, you will certainly find a few to compliment your meal. This was a great find and will be back.
We stopped here for dinner when we were in town and a short weekend away and while we blown away at the delicious food! My husband had the full rack of ribs which were absolutely delicious and fall-off-the-bone tender. And the barbecue sauce was delicious. It was just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. He could barely finish half of them and we warmed up the rest half the next day for dinner. I had the brisket which I like lean and they said when you order it cut rather than chopped it comes much leaner. I ordered it cut and it was delicious and super lean. It doesn't come with any sauce so I got the Memphis sauce and the Kansas City sauce on the side. When you go there there's about a dozen sauces on the side table where you can just take your table and try them all. My favorite was the Kansas City and the Memphis sauces. They were absolutely incredible with just the right amount of spice. I also had the baked beans which tasted like they were made with pulled pork or brisket and they were unbelievable! We also ordered a side of cheese curds with ranch which were delicious and I don't know what they were made with but we could not stop eating them! Frankly we could only get two half of them because we wanted to eat dinner and I microwave them the next day and they were just as good. They have a whole fridge full of beer options and they were $4 a can & the selection of microbrews was awesome. They also have a variety of local root beers which were delicious! The place itself is absolutely adorable and was very clean and the people were super nice with great service. We took more than half of our food home so we had dinner the next day. And I can't wait to get back up to Minocqua to get back there! Would recommend this place for lunch or dinner or carryout!
