Bad Bob's BBQ - Barbecue restaurant in Murray - 806 Chestnut St, USA

I'm a chef, but I'm not high class I love bbq. The ribs were bright red and tasted of only smoke and pork, which is not bad but save money you're rub eh. The pulled, the same, I selected the spicy sauce, really I could hardly tell it was there. The viniger slaw was more like fresh cabbage in vinegar water. And the baked potato salad was sour cream salad. I didn't hate it but it could be better. Mediocre. Oh I forgot the cornbread muffin, I think I'd feel about the same if I ate cornmeal.

Haven’t eaten at this BBQ place since I went to Murray State back in the late-80s and early 90s. Different name, but still a BBQ joint in the same location as when I went to school there. Great food and great service. Lots of specials and combo meals with sides and drink. I had the pulled pork sandwich combo special with vinegar slaw on it and hot sauce. Side of curly fries and a drink for less than 10 bucks. Can’t beat that! Enjoy!

I was so disappointed in my food. I got a pulled chicken plate with 2 sides of mac and an extra side of white beans. The mac was extremely bland. It was like maybe white off brand Velveeta and noodles. No spices or even really a cheese flavor. The chicken was incredibly dry. I asked for a side of each bbq sauce and ended up with probably the mild on my chicken which did not help the dryness at all. The white beans were decent. I had a cookie sandwhich which was also good but seems it had sat for awhile as the frosting was hard on the outside. I'm so disappointed.

Me and my husband we’re traveling and thought we would give this place a try. Very disappointed at 5pm the ribs and pulled pork was not fresh at all. The ribs were hard and the sauce has too much vinegar. There were flies inside the restaurant and one landed in my husbands potato salad. He let the young lady at the counter know and she said oh is that right. Never apologized or offered to replace it. This place is waayyyy overpriced for the quality of the food. I would definitely skip this place. Applebees has better ribs.

Great food. I had the buffalo wings. My mother loved her bbq. Very nice employees.

I do love this place don’t get me wrong the food is amazing! but since they have had to raise their prices I feel like the quality has gone downwards as well. I love their smoked chicken salad and you used to get big chunks of chicken on a nice bed of of lettuce with nice tomato’s and cheese. Now you are lucky if you get half a chicken breast shredded on your salad and the lettuce they will sever you the inside butter parts of the head mixed in with a few pieces of the good stuff. I did complain about this once thinking maybe it was an off day that happens. They offered me a free salad to fix it the next day. Ok cool thank you for that. However the next day was not much better. I thought it may just be a fluke due to poor supplies at the time. We had them about a month later for a work function and i was impressed it was delicious so i though oh good things are going back to normal. Waited 2 weeks went back for the salad again and it was the same thing. I have now given them up for lunch but will continue to be excited for their catering meals at work. Maybe the catering game is more for them than the small orders and that’s okay too. The people really are wonderful but if I’m paying $10 for a salad i want it to be a good sized salad with meat like it was in the beginning.

Meat was too fatty, sliced brisket looked chopped and tasted like roast. Was told they soak it in au jus. If you have to add seasonings after it's cooked you didn't cook it right. Manager kept trying to make excuses for the quality of the food. Will never go back.
