Backroads Bistro - Restaurant in Panguitch - 5 N Main St, USA

Delightful surprise. We were driving out of Bryce today and everything was closed nearby. We happened on this place and the food was excellent. The restaurant is small and eclectic, but the food was delicious. The service was excellent too. Go for the Thai pasta. The homemade focaccia bread was out of this world.

If u can’t find what u r looking for in Tropic or Bryce - especially in the off season when u r limited to steak and potato type food options or Subway, this place is just a short drive (ok 27 min from Ruby Inn) and worth it! Went for the salad (yes, looked like more that the Bryce Canyon staple of Iceberg) but ended up ordering the Pesto Pasta Primavera w Chicken, Spinach Artichoke dip w Crostini and the Creamy Potato w Bacon soup. Simple but tasty, and RICH - no shortage of butter in these dishes so if your stomach can’t take it, plan accordingly 🫢Staff were friendly and helpful. Yes, plates were a light styrofoam feeling plastic. Ample parking.

We came for lunch, a little close to one in the afternoon. They were busy, but everything went well. We chose to sit outside, and it was a great day to have lunch outside. Food is great. Service is great and if you want a great lunch meal, this is the place to visit. They have a kids menu that comes with it a part of a coloring sheet so that entertained the little one so that was a great option as well. All in all a great experience for lunch, and they had a wide selection of options to choose from, will definitely visit again

If you’re ever passing through Panguitch of Southern Utah, you must give this place a try! The food was top-notch for this charming little town. The tostadas with pork is what we had and it was the best we’ve ever had. We also had the chicken sandwich…it was actually real chicken cooked that morning! The quality of the ingredients was great and everything was made fresh. I also enjoyed watching the staff prepare food right in front of us. The staff is super friendly and the chef/owner “Bob” is so good with the dishes he creates. We got to meet him and let him know just how much we appreciate the restaurant and his food! We wanted to go back for dinner but had to work until sun down. But, we will definitely go back again to try some of the other dishes!

What a great surprise to find this place on our way home from Lake Powell. Food and service were both great. We didn’t wait long at all and felt at home. No skimping on the salmon with the tacos and the kids meals were delicious. Sticky chicken salad was SO good. Large portions. A gem to come across and somewhere we will return in years to come. Thank you!

Delicious! We took the Wild Mountain Salad, the (temporary special) French onion soup and (temporary special) Shrimp pasta, everything was excellent. The service was also very good, kind and helpful staff.

The food is excellent. I had the quesadilla with the achiote steak. So yummy. The service is super-friendly. A must-stop place in Panguitch.

Nice place, hostess was full of enthusiasm and very welcoming, and her young assistant was very eager to help, both were absolutely lovely. The food was very good, (see pics) fresh and homemade. Not so sure about the plastic crockery and cutlery, saves on washup I suppose. Only a pecan cake/shortbread for desert but it was good, and homemade, just lovely.
