Baby Ketten Klub - Karaoke bar in Portland - 2433 SE Powell Blvd, USA

I haven't done karaoke in years due to anxiety issues and having a private style karaoke session was all I needed to get myself back into it, safely. The atmosphere here is awesome and the staff are super sweet. The food is typical bar food but it's good so I have no issues with that. I appreciate that bar style. If you want to throw a karaoke party, I highly recommend renting out one of their rooms, and if you're wanting to continue the fun you can out in the main bar where the public karaoke happens. Such a cool place!

My favorite karaoke venue that I have visited. Traveled all the way from Seattle to visit this venue a few times over the weekend and it didnt disappoint AT ALL. Ketten has the best song selection by far, their sound system makes it easy for the singer and audience to hear a great mix of music/vocals, and a terrific vegan bar food menu. Went on Friday and Saturday and both nights were fairly busy, happy to see their popularity, but get there early or late on those nights for more singing opportunities. Going to go back and eventually want to try one of their beautifully designed private rooms. On the negative side: the dance floor/performance area is right at the entrance which is very awkward, the entrance and some of the decor in the main room is very bare and forgettable (a shame when their private rooms are so rad). Update: played trivia on Tuesday night and won a free drink!

I really loved this random little place I found. The karaoke was fun to do and watch. The service was great. And I felt very safe there. Would Definitely go back again!

Edit: Changing this review because I respect how much the owner cares about the customer's experience. My previous review listed incorrect pricing. It is $45 per hour for a group of 10. Food still wasn't my favorite, but they do have options. Decent song selection and seemed like people were having a good time. Menu and website are a pain to navigate due to the spelling--would love the option for correctly spelled versions available.

I absolutely love singing Karaoke here. They got good food, great service and the sound/lights are amazing! They also have quite a few songs and artists many other places pale in comparison to. A really great place to hangout with Karaoke every night of the week available. Its a true Las Vegas style club experience right here in my hometown.

Spent 3 outta the last 5 birthdays there. Rented pretty much every private room they have at one point or another. It’s by far the best songbook in Portland. period.

I don't actually love karaoke (it's fun sometimes, but I'm not super fan), but this place does karaoke very well. Private, themed rooms in addition to a common space. Mostly bar food on the menu - great tots. Good service. Clean bathroom. Good song selection. Friendly staff. Other patrons were nice too :)

A group of friends and I have really enjoyed renting a private room here on several occasions. We have always enjoyed the food and drinks and overall vibe and planned on returning again... so we were disappointed tonight when the bartender scolded us for not additionally tipping on the room itself (which was $135 alone) after 8+ of us all ordered food and several drinks which were all tipped on. This was never an issue previously and it makes us reluctant to return. Update: Really appreciate the owners response! Updated my rating.
