Babb Run Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary - Park in Cuyahoga Falls - , USA

I love parks by rivers! This was a great hike. There was also a cool tree as seen in the pictures. Didn’t see many wildlife due to the weather.

Great spot for a quick hike. The hill down is paved making it a bit easier but once at the bottom it's pretty easy terrain. Wildlife is all around you & by the river the views are gorgeous. It's typically a quiet area for hiking which is nice.

My favorite local park. The place is a hidden gem among other beautiful places. If you enjoy a more private experience with nature, not entirely private, but a much less crowded environment allowing true decompression, then this is the place for you! Babb Run is a beautiful place. --1/3/23 Due Diligence Update-- In case it was not abundantly clear, Babb Run is still the most beautiful municipal park and recreation area in the city, and dare I say even the immediate local vicinity. YOUR TIME will NOT be wasted here, there is simply too much to see, do and experience. If you need to breathe, and you can't do so for whatever reason, I personally guarantee you that you will be able to unwind, relax and enjoy nature as the Creator intended, so come get your nature fix, if you need it. We were never meant to be isolated or separated from nature, we just forgot that nature is important (no one ever told us this undeniable, critical fact). So don't forget, nature is important, make time (and space) for nature. Get your rear out to Babb Run, bring the entire family (if you're able), or just you, The park is hardly ever busy, it is for some odd reason a very well kept secret, but the kind of decent folks attracted to this kind of beauty are not the kind of people who'd damage the park or subtract from it's beauty, The more the merrier. This park saved my life, it gave me hope when no human institution or human being(s) would or could. I cannot describe why or how, all I can do is tell you that nature won't hurt you, the hill that leads to the riverside portion of the park is a bit steep, but a pair of reasonable shoes, boots, crocks, what have you, they'll do the trick. If you have lost hope, you may find some here. I did. Have a great 2023, to whomever may read this, you are not alone, it merely feels like it right now. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing, you can even make small improvements if you know what you're doing, lol, but I'm sure the city probably frowns upon substantial unplanned changes. :-)

A Beautiful Walk, with many man made mini Waterfalls. The Sewer smell can get to you at a certain point in the walk though. It does have the Porta Potties bathroom, and is Wheelchair and Disability Friendly on the upper part. I wouldn't recommend taking a wheelchair down the path though, as it is a steep hill, and the pavement ends and turns into gravel like path at the bottom. But the upper part has a Beautiful 🥰 Mini Pavilion to have a picnic, and even has some benches, picnic tables, and a grill. Nice Place for a lunch break and a Walk.

One thing I was not fond of for Babb Run was the fact it has mosquitos and bugs at the end of April so this tells you that this park compared to other parks at this time of the year already has bug problems. There is a section of the trail that is paved from the parking lot to where you first get to the water/see water. As other people have noted, there does seem to be construction going on somewhere and parking lot is small but overall the area is away from car traffic and the main road meaning it is peaceful and quiet.

Did not expect much out of this place but it ended up being great. A nice hike area through the woods and along the river and when I found the waterfall I just had to sit and enjoy for hours. Definitely will be back! Thank you nature and the local city for this place!

It was.off the beaten track eith a lovely stream running through.the park. It will be even more beautiful.when the leaves change.
