Great Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Generous portions. I randomly stopped here traveling through the area. The nachos I got were unique, called Azteca Nachos. Zucchini, Mushroom, diced Red Onions and tomatoes on top of the usual mixed proteins (Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp) and white cheese sauce. Very tasty!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I'll be the first to say I'm a picky eater so I'm usually asking for things to be taken off of normal menu items which usually ends up with a messed up order occasionally. Well they have never messed up my order, not once. I am thoroughly impressed. The food is always great and done very quickly.
My family LOVES Azteca Mexican Restaurant! Personally, it used to be my favorite "local restaurant" but it has moved up to become my "overall favorite restaurant" due to a few factors: First, I have NEVER received bad food from Azteca (and I've eaten from them a LOT); the flavor is always top-notch, and the food typically arrives quickly and is very fresh! Next, the prices are reasonable and the portions are very generous! Finally, the employees are always friendly; they seem to genuinely take pride in their service and care about their customers! I believe the best thing I can say about Azteca Mexican Restaurant is that it is truly the favorite restaurant of all 3 members of my family (including an 8-year old), and unanimous agreement like that is pretty rare!
Everyone is always so kind, fast, and efficient here. The food is amazing, and the portions you get for the price are well worth it! You know if a Mexican restaurant is gonna be great by the beans, get an extra side while you're here👀💕

This pains me to have to do this. Azteca has always been my favorite. But the last few times I have order food for pick up, it hasn't been what it usually has been. I always order the same thing, chimichangas and barvacoa tacos. When I order I always set a time. When I pick it up and get it home, which is a few blocks, it's barely warm and you can tell it's been done for a while and just sitting there. The sauce will be completely soaked into the tortilla and the lettuce is soggy. The chicken isn't seasoned like it usually is and the barvacoa is dry. It just seems since opening the new locations, Wauseon is getting neglected.
