Aztec Motel - Motel in Wildwood Crest - 411 E Lavender Rd, USA

Room worked for our family of 3. There was an issue with the sink but maintenance fixed it immediately. AC was very strong but wouldn't budge from automatically going on and off so we hardly used it. I was comfortable in the bed but my husband was not. Location is great! 3 blocks from where the boardwalk begins. Customer service was top notch! They were excellent.

The location to the beach and boardwalk is ideal, other than that this motel is a total bust. As soon as we walked in and my 2 year old took her shoes off there was instantly sand/ dirt on the bottom of her feet. Walked into the kitchen to put my things in the fridge and there were multiple ants crawling all over the counter and stove. Went into the bathroom that night to give my toddler a bath and noticed the hair wrapped around the bolt holding the toilet to the floor. Then once the bath was finished I went to grab a towel and noticed stains on all of them. The next morning we went to the beach and I noticed all of their laundry on the ground outside, as well as a little party area that was not cleaned up from the night before. (That’s not the motel’s fault… just rude people). Room service is only available upon request, but you have to request it the day before. When you’re in a beach town room service, or at least vacuuming, should be done daily regardless because of the sand. We also did not see 1 person go out and clean the pool the entire time we were there (3 nights). Overall I would not recommend this motel.

We have been staying at this hotel for around 18 years already but it recently was sold and the new owners are nice but the things that made an average hotel great years ago are gone. The garbage outside was overflowing for 3 days and there isn't consistent housekeeping. The breakfast danishes/coffee bar is not the same. There is only free coffee now. Some electrical outlets didn't work and you needed to retrieve your own bath towels and wash towels. We used to love this hotel but will look elsewhere when we visit WildWood Crest again!

Do not rent a room here you can get way better rooms for the same price down by the beach. This place is a scam. They charge way too much for what it is. It’s old and dirty. We had booked for three nights and when we got there, the old fridge had leaked all over. They gave us a second room. The toilet was broken and hadn’t been flushed ! there were dirty old Q-tips in the bathroom. Best mini putt in cape may and wildwood asked a refund because we wanted to leave and they refused. They made us stay the night in that dump saying we would lose $600. I had to find the phone number of the manager, only after that they agreed to refund the two remaining nights. We found cheaper for our two other nights in a much cleaner hotel right by the beach!!

I will start by saying that the employees were very nice, and this review has nothing to do with them. The rooms as you can see in the photos are disgusting. There is black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom as well as the damage. There were strawberry tops on the floor and hair in the drawers. There was a USED bar of soap still in the shower. There is one place to plug something in which is a multi-extender so that they can plug in the microwave. The beds were very uncomfortable. Not once did we see anyone from housekeeping on the premises nor did we ever see anyone taking care of the grounds or the sand filled pool. We were informed that the place was bought back in 2021. You can absolutely tell the difference. What a shame.

Staff is always friendly & helpful. Price is great. Rooms have always been clean every time we have stayed here. Block away from the beach, boardwalk, bakeries, coffee shops, etc. If you’re looking for a deal with a decent relaxed stay, highly recommend. ☀️

Only good thing about this hotel is that the ac keeps the room cold. Everything was very poorly cleaned, there were ants crawling over everything! The utensils in the drawer were so filthy we bought plastic ones. The table is rusting and extremely wobbly, and there were some questionable stains on the lower part of the beds. Not to mention the already empty dish soap they gave us. It was very clearly refilled with water. Will not be coming here again.

What a terrific value! Clean, comfortable with an excellent location, just a block and a half for the beach and boardwalk. Motel is old but we'll maintained putting it securely in the "retro" category. So, if you're looking for Ritz Carlton style amenities, this ain't your kinda place. If clean and comfortable are your style, this is the place all for far less than $100 per night.
