Axe Shack - Sports bar in Lowell - 121 Church St, USA

I came with a group of 6 on a Tuesday night. Being a Tuesday it wasn't very busy. Kelly checked us all in, helped us get our waivers signed and over to our throwing lane very promptly. She was very informative on how to throw the axes as well as knives and helped a few of us who were struggling. Overall, it was a great experience. Not only was it a blast, but Kelly and Woody also let us throw diff types of axes/knives and coached/encouraged us along without being overbearing. They did always have an eye on us, letting us know if we were about to do something silly so we all felt very safe. We would definitely come back here in the future! If you have never been axe/knife throwing before, definitely come give this place a try! FWIW, they have beer/alcohol which was a plus. The place was very clean, and parking was very easy and convenient.

Had the absolute best time here! everyone that works here is so nice, plus we got to meet the owner. it was very well priced and you got to throw 3 different sizes of axe along with 2 different size set of knives. there is a screen that can help you keep track and play different games. it was all around awesome. the best part is that you get two targets. I've been to a place in Summerville and you just get one target and have to wait and take turns. this was better because we got to do it at the same time. I will surely be back!

Came here for the first time with a large party and had an excellent night. We had Woody assisting us who absolutely killed it and made sure we had a great time. He gave us a lot of fun tools to have fun while being safe. Highly recommend coming here regardless if you are new or experienced.

Took my 11yo daughter here and we had the best time! Our coach, Kourtney, was awesome and definitely added to the whole experience. My daughter wound up challenging her at the end, and even though she lost, she was smiling the entire time and couldn’t stop talking about it. We can’t wait to go back! :)

The place was super clean spacious for different parties to have plenty of space and cornhole boards in the middle incase you want to play. The staff especially Woody, was friendly and willing to give tips without being overbearing allowing you to figure things out yourself. The food and drink menu looked pretty good with good prices, and the last 15 we got to use the big axe and knives which was fun! Would definitely go again with more people!

I had gotten two Groupons before Christmas, gave one to my niece and nephew as a Christmas present. Was taken aback when I tried to make a reservation to use one when the owner said they no longer are accepting them. Had an email exchange saying I was unhappy and the whole situation is unacceptable, the owner said basically take it up with Groupon not their problem. I said I was going to post about this they said before I go and “bash” a small business to realize my issue is with Groupon. My issue is with customer service I basically said as much said they should honor the deal or at least come with an alternative…that’s when they said they were offering a 20% discount. Not only lost my business but my future business as well….we’ll go to Axe Play in Hudson.

My husband and I went here for date night and we had so much fun being both competitive people. I recommend the tic-tac-toe version. The coaches were very helpful with it being our first time. Would definitely come back again with the family.

The worst experience ever. The manager/owner extremely unprofessional and arrogant. I can’t believe the treatment our family received. Prefer to walk away from business 9 people that would of bought food and drinks because she STATED she was loosing $$$ because we bout our tickets through Groupon and could not only 4 people and that it regardless who bought what ticket! It was more work for her to register us all! I can’t believe this. Do not buy your tickets on Groupon according to her she is not making anything.
