Avenue Subs CORONADO - Sandwich shop in Coronado - 878 Orange Ave, USA

Usually I enjoy my sandwiches from here. However, I went out on a limb and ordered a half Philly Cheese Steak (thankfully only half). While I have high expectations of my Cheese Steaks having grown up in Philly, I didn't set my expectations too high before ordering from here, considering this is not that type of fare (more Mexican food). The menu (printed paper and in-store) states and pictures show SIRLOIN beef as I would expect. To get a ground beef (and mushy) was highly disappointing. I should have been told and the menu should be updated to reflect that sirloin beef isn't what is used. It's disgusting and changes my feelings about this place. The store owners and managers are always so polite and friendly. Unfortunately, this restaurant's food is inconsistent.

Good sandwich/liquor store place. Order at the register and they will bring the sandwich out to you. There is seating in front of the store. Took mine to the beach to enjoy.

Hands Down..The Best Sandwiches on The Island. My Favorite is the Super Orange Avenue Italian. The Menu Has Rwally Expanded Since I Ate There. They are Even Serving Mexican Food, Salads, and Breakfast Now Also..You Guys Rock !!

Deli shop is located inside the liquor store! Coronado sub and smoothies were amazing. Very big portions and great price! Husband and I got our food and enjoyed it while sitting at the beach just down the road

Avenue subs is located within Avenue liquour off the side of Vons Grocery. Overall the sandwhiches are decent and made to order. They also serve smoothies and burritos which are good. The liquor side of the business is ok, a lot of selection but pricey.

So, we found this place on maps expecting a sandwich shop. It does sell sandwiches, and it was good, but it is a liquor store wall to wall. Our sandwich had tons of bacon, yum! But not enough avocado. The man working was very quick to get us our food. We ate outside at some covered tables they provided. Overall, we were satisfied. Just surprised at it being a liquor store.

Ordered a burrito and it was amazing. Also purchased some vodka. All kinds of alcohol, specialty items.

Just stopped at this place to grab a quick bite and had the pleasure of ordering an incredible sandwich... called the super orange ave italian and it was made by an even more incredible and cute girl (young lady) named Tina... thanks for the great service and keep smiling... YOU ROCK...
