We stayed one night prior to our cruise! Polly and Jeff were so sweet and she is an amazing cook! We had chocolate cupcakes waiting for us upon arrival! House is beautiful and comfy! She made us pizza for dinner (extra charge but worth it). It was one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had! Breakfast the next morning was awesome too! Homemade lemon blueberry pancakes, maple bacon (Jeff’s recipe) , scrambled eggs and potatoes! Jeff took us to the cruise port and will pick us up, included in the price! Room was very nice and updated! Free parking on site too( included). We’re staying again in October and April 2025! Thanks Polly and Jeff!

WONDERFUL stay!! The service was outstanding. |Pros: Clean and beautiful establishment, updated, friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Pillows and bedding were very comfortable. Polly and Jeff's breakfast was delicious with homemade jelly/jam. **Get the cruise package - your vehicle will be parked on premises and Jeff will deliver you and your luggage to the pier and return to pick you up! |Cons: None|I will stay here again and again, couldn't be more satisfied!

Avenue O was the perfect stay for our night before our cruise! Polly and Jeff are very friendly and welcoming. They have beautiful renovated rooms in a cute historic house and a delicious breakfast. The location is just a couple blocks from the beach and all of the local restaurants. They had great recommendations. They also allowed us to park our car on their property during the run of our cruise. Jeff dropped us off and picked us up from the terminal all while giving us a run down of what to expect since this was our 1st cruise. He also told us about some of the historical sights in Galveston as we drove. Their hospitality was exceptional and we would definitely stay here again if visiting Galveston!

We found this place looking for parking for a cruise and a place to stay near the port in Galveston. What a find! Our family of three stayed in the Balinese Suite. The double vanity and walk in shower were luxurious. The private balcony was romantic. Our tween appreciated having the living room futon to himself in the suite. Great location to walk to beach, historic area, and pier. The gourmet breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Above and beyond thoughtful extras like complimentary liqueurs, coffee station, WiFi, and shuttle to cruise terminal. Beautiful 100+ year old property with large gardens to relax in. Must book! Get the romantic package! The champagne was delicious!

Very relaxing suite for the night . Polly and Jeff met us as we drove up to the B&B 🙂. The sitting room and surrounding space, as well as the outside garden area was lovely for relaxing in . The view from all of the windows was beautiful! Upon arrival , Our room (The Sea Wall suite , I believe ) was very inviting and our master bath was well stocked .. the bedtime cookie set out for us was amazing! Words alone cannot express how awesome our breakfast was that Polly and Jeff both prepared .. and yes, his bacon is the best we've had! You’ll also love Polly’s homemade granola ! The B&B is close to all of the things you’ll want to visit Galveston for !

A big thank you to Avenue O! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although we only stayed one night (overnight for a cruise, the next day), the hospitality delivered by Polly and Jeff was outstanding. We stayed in the Balinese Suite; it was charming, extremely comfortable and the walk-in shower was amazing. We also enjoyed the experience of the private dining offered by Avenue O. All we can say is WOW!!!! we opted for the Ribeye steak dinner and let me just say, Polly and Jeff know how to cook! The meal was so delicious and truly kicked off our vacation. Next morning, in true B&B fashion, breakfast was served... Again, what amazing cooking skills Polly and Jeff possess. The breakfast was so tasty and offered a great start to our embarkation day, for the cruise. Speaking of cruising, Avenue O also provides a complimentary transportation service to the port; Jeff was so gracious to individually take us to the port, despite other guests, staying at the B&B, were also heading to the port, at a later time. Overall, we are so happy we chose to stay at Avenue O. If you like the B&B experience, don't walk, run, to book your next stay at Avenue O! Thank you Polly and Jeff for welcoming us and providing such a great story to tell, and we did, about Avenue O and your gracious hospitality.

Avenue O was a great place to stay. We chose to stay the night before our cruise. The hosts Polly and Jeff were extremly accomodating and welcoming. They gave us a tour and history of the Avenue O and made recomendations on places to go and eat dinner. The breakfast the next m morning was amazing. They also kept our vehicle safe at their location and Jeff made sure we were dropped off to our port location at just the right time. We will deffintly be staying here again.

When looking for a place to stay the night before our cruise this place kept popping up. It had the best reviews and also included parking while we were cruising. So, I booked it. And it was the best decision! Jeff and Polly are the most excellent hosts. The entire house is beautiful and there are so many little details to make your stay feel special. Polly had made delicious cookies which were waiting for us when we arrived and the breakfast was incredible! Jeff dropped us off and picked us up from the cruise terminal making the whole process so easy. Do yourself a favor, skip the hotel and book this. You won’t regret it!

Yes, they do day pass - it’s $10 Such a hidden gem in this ghost town. Not crowded during the prime time such as big city gym. Smell the ocean when you are slaying your workout! Nice, old school, iron maiden environment.
