Great maintenance staff - very professional and respectful while servicing residence. A huge shout out to maintenance worker Niko T. for always responding promptly to any issues that have arisen in my apartment. He responds quickly, is cognizant of personal property and pets - and gets the issue resolved in a timely fashion. An additional shoutout to maintenance worker Cristian C for quickly responding to an emergency call in the middle of the night. He was able to shut off the short-circuiting alarm and replaced the unit, allowing my family and I to get back to sleep before having to go to work. The Avalon has a great and accessible maintenance crew - both during and after hours - which is a huge comfort when renting.
The maintenance team here is amazing! Jay was very helpful the first month we were here. We had no hot water and he came first thing in the morning, found the problem and fixed it within 20 minutes. He also fixed our small leak we had. Very impressed Thank you
Don’t move here unless you want the following points… After living for one year in the Avalon I might be qualified to give a bigger feedback. The first impression of the Avalon is nice but that’s it. All in all I am more than disappointed by the Avalon in Huntington. These are the reasons why 1. No help from emergency hotline When we accidentally locked us out the Avalon Emergency Hotline was not reachable. Two different neighbors helped us and also called the hotline. 2. Major cockroach problem We had someone from pest control twice in our apartment and he identified that the fridge was broken and that was the reason for the cockroaches. We had to pay several hundred dollars out of our own pocket to buy traps, sprays & co. We are aware that other tenant also have major pest issues. We were also part of a Facebook group with the other tenants. They reported similar problems with cockroaches and ants. Side fact: The pest control team was only able to come on Thursday and was not able to provide a fix time. So if you have a busy working life good luck for organizing that! 3. Permanent smell of smoke We had a permanent smell of smoke in our apartment complex. The Avalon Huntington wrote one email and that was it. So we had to live with that unpleasant smell. 4. Trash The trash fee was raised without an improvement in cleanliness or pick ups while we lived there. 5. Avalon Huntington Team only reachable through an App The Avalon Huntington Team is only reachable throughout the App. There is no way to call them. 6. 10% Increase in rent Do I need say more about this point? 7. Pool Supervision The pool is open for three months. During that time there was a Pool Supervision. Several times that person was either on her way to pick up food or was in the pool. 8. Dishwasher and fridge broke within one year Unfortunately our dishwasher and fridge broke during the time we lived there. We scheduled the new installation of when the new items should have been installed. Focus on SHOULD. The dishwasher came two hours too late and the fridge four hours too late. So you better have to plan a lot of time. 9. Moving out After we moved out we received an email from the Avalon that we should pay $2000 for damages. We reached out to that email and since then we don’t have an answer back of what they want to charge us for. We also reached out to the Avalon Customer Care but also got no email back. All in all a more than disappointing experience.
Our washing machine broke late on a day when Christian was in our unit finishing something else. He immediately checked it and also noticed the dryer was making a strange sound. The next morning, first thing, Jay and Chris both came and completely repaired both machines. They were so respectful of my request that they not disturb my husband. It seems like these guys can fix anything. Very polite and kind, also. Thanks, guys!
NEW UPDATE: Was having an issue with my hot water heater! Jay came in before working hours and fixed it in a matter of minutes. I'm so grateful for the quick service and attention I receive here at the Avalon Huntington Station. I love living here! Thank you, Jay and the Avalon Team! Update to my review: I moved into the Avalon Huntington in August of 2019. I had an issue development this past month and I brought it to Becky's attention. To my surprise, she had it handled in NO TIME! Literally! I've lived in many rentals since selling my home in 2016 and no where has any one resolved this kind of issue as easily, willingly, graciously as Becky has. Thank you, Becky and the Avalon Team. The Avalon Huntington is a great place. I'm currently between New York & Seattle and the Avalon is just perfect for my needs. The Office/Leasing Staff is friendly & very helpful. The maintenance crew does an excellent job of handling things immediately. I've meet such kind and friendly people since moving here. It's been a pleasure! Thanks everyone at Avalon Huntington Station!

Just moved in and had an issue with smoke alarm. Niko immediately came to help and what a great guy! Went above and beyond to answer absolutely any questions I had. Gave me tips about the apartment, reassured us that he is always here to help. So happy with service and feel well taken care of 😊
I forgot the maintenance man's name , but he was fast, very polite and friendly and took care of the problem immediately. Update.....today I had a small leak around one window. I called and a new Maintenance person, Christopher arrived quickly. He was nice, friendly and very helpful. He cleaned out the window base and drain, and also cleaned out all others. He did an excellent job. Jay arrived and checked the problem and solution. Jay has always been very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and all that you could possibly ask for in a development. He goes above and beyond and is quick to help.
