Automatic Slim's - Southern restaurant (US) in Memphis - 83 S 2nd St, USA

The food tastes good but there were some things that could've made it better. The grits tasted amazing but they could've been cooked longer. I had the BBQ brisket Benedict and it was amazing! The mimosa tower was worth it.

Super surprising restaurant, as I'd never looked into their offerings. Wait staff was very good and the venue was appealing. Only drawback was their being out of a few items on a Friday night, which could be just par for the course these days. All the food tasted awesome and you could tell it was freshly prepared. Good bar and drink menus. I'd go back.

A great bar, quiet at this time of year, especially after the poor weather Memphis has had lately. But we got a great welcome. We only stayed for drinks, but had a great time. Unfortunately our visit was cut short by the fire alarm going off and the fire brigade turning up. It made an interesting end to the afternoon.

The customer service was awful and the food experience. The egg rolls was very hard , dry and little. Then, asked for ranch dressing and they told me it will be extra but, you dinning in lol .. smh after receiving the bill they charged for two or more 20% to the bill and credit card fee smh … never will come here again! And you shouldn’t either. The food was awful..

Living downtown this is usually my go to place. Cheap mimosas with good food. They are usually really busy on the weekends. But this day the bar was fully open. Steak and eggs are good.

Everything here was great. The food, atmosphere, and service was really good. Our waitress was very attentive. I felt bad for them because they were very short handed. She was the only waitress. They had one bartender. For the amount of workers they had they did great. They stayed calm even when some customers were rude. Because of the long wait to be seated.

Before Brunch hit every restaurant's menu Automatic Slim's had one of the best brunches in the city! $3 mimosas or the mimosa bong for the table It was my go-to spot! Always a recommendation for others. Recently I went to check out my old favorite and although the food was pretty solid there were a few things I think they could work on. I got the red velvet waffle and added fried chicken and breakfast potatoes. My waffle was GOOD but I was disappointed at how the cream cheese was drizzled plus my potatoes were cold. The cream cheese looked like small clumps of frosting were just tossed on the waffle so I just turned it over for the picture. The flavor was there it was just the presentation. However, my real concerns are with the restrooms. They were pretty horrible and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. I couldn't stop thinking about how Automatic slim's has plenty of happy hour specials and having to use that restroom. I think with a little deep cleaning and more attention to detail they can easily jump back up to 5 stars.

May have been short staffed like most restaurants but the waitress did her very best while keeping a smile on her face.... the food was already cold when we got it, ordered red velvet pancakes but pretty much tasted like regular pancakes with food coloring added. We absolutely loved the mimosas, must be using the good champagne. Lastly, the floors between the kitchen and restrooms were wet and sticky, very hazardous to walk on. I did share that with someone who worked there.
