First time here and it’s an amazing atmosphere with staple mouth watering favorites eaten in the Black America and African culture. In fact, I’m from Washington, DC and just moved here…. This is the place to be if you just visit the Bay Area and are looking for soul food (wish I had come here earlier than now).
The host is so sweet (the chef and owners auntie). She greeted me with warmth and love. I’ll be coming here more often even if I take the drive from Fremont where I live in Cali…. 10 stars across the board. Just keeping it real.
I absolutely love Au Lounge. Uplifting vibes, comfortable atmosphere & friendly, professional staff. A well stocked bar with a solid pour, good music and a well used dance floor. Did I mention the two big screens and open patio? This place is one of my favorite spots.
We visited here from Atlanta on Friday night. Saw it on IG and went to check out Chef Smelly. The wings and cheesy bread was amazing and greens was my favorite. I was not feeling the Mac n cheese but the shrimp and fish did it’s job.
I am very picky with food but this place was just amazing. Everything was great the food, the drinks, and the service. It was all amazing, I highly recommend this place. Thanks to Tiffany, the bartender, and the waiters.

The garlic noodles are a must 😋 to order. The fried shrimp and oysters were the right amount of crispness.
I came for a networking event at 6:00pm. It is a nice location with a comfortable decor. The DJ played regular R&B no Afrobeats but that might come later. I enjoyed my East African flavored "afrobite" appetizers. The bartender was nice and the drink pours are generous.
The food was good but the service was terrible. Quick wait for a table but was hassled by homeless men in front of the security guard. Food took over an hour to come. Getting a drink at the bar took 30 minutes, standingin line, per the waiter's instruction. A little while later the bartender and our waiter personally delivered drinks to the table next us, flirting with the young women there. It just seemed like this business didn't really care about our experience as first time customers.
What an amazing little place! Especially if you like history! The workers were extremely knowledgeable about the artifacts in the room. Very neat experience!

This place is super cool inside and out. They have it all decked out for Christmas and itâs a must see bar. The redwood trees on the back patio are a nice vibe. The drinks were also very very good! Get the marshmallow unicorn drink !
Out of the 3 bars on Piedmont Ave, I enjoy the Lodge the most. Free Popcorn, outdoor covered patio, dog friendly, well priced drinks, slushy option, and the atmosphere rad Oaklanders and a cabin theme throughout.

The RIC is such a great venue for private parties! Tons of arcade games in great shape, plenty of comfortable seating, warm atmosphere, great location, and great house cocktails! Geoff the bartender does an amazing job. Oh and a huge photo booth! Lov
