Not a bad place to stay at all. The rooms are a bit spartan. The room with the kitchenette is surprisingly large. If you like soft mattresses, this is not the place for you! I really prefer a firm mattress myself, and the beds here are seriously the firmest I have ever felt. I slept like a baby, but my boyfriend totally disagreed.
The accommodations at this property were uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The pillows and mattress were poor quality. Overall, the room was simply uninviting and unpleasant. In addition, the front desk is frequently unmanned with no one in sight if you need information or service. At $89 for the night it was definitely overpriced. We left by 6:30 in the morning because we had had more than enough of the Tangerine Inn experience. We will not return.
It did its job, we just needed somewhere quick to sleep! It's off the busy road, very dated and basic. Room was clean enough. If you're looking for luxury and comfort... not really for you. If you are looking for a quick place to sleep and shower, then get back on the road... it's for you. It was probably one step up from camping.
Friend and I stayed here for the Daytona bike week. I was skeptical at first but saw how hard Fred was trying to make improvements on his property. Rooms were freshly painted with new bathroom and beds. He was working til late some nights trying to get everything looking nice. Only complaint was that cleaning gal failed to sweep floor.||When Fred saw this he quickly grabbed a broom and swept it out. I would stay here again.
Neither quiet nor clean, this motel sits on a busy highway. From the yellowing pillowcases and hair on the spotted sheets to the 5 - yes 5 bugs scattering in the shower when I turned on the light. One hapless creepy crawly had been squished on the floor by a previous occupant. | I had paid in advance for 2 nights and arrived late from out of state. But mounting concerns about my health far outweighed any thoughts of loosing money or where I was going to find a place at 10PM. I had to leave immediately so I handed my keys. I was very fortunate to find the last room in historic Deland at the Artisan Downtown.
Everything I read online contradicts what is being advertised. Not 24 hours. In fact I made a reservation for Friday and could not find anyone in the office and no one answered the phone. I left a voicemail at 7am about my stay but didn't get a call back till 730pm only because I put a block on my card purposely to decline the transaction because online its stated that the transaction is non refundable the guy only called to see why was the transaction declined. I am thankful fot them not being available when I arrived because I didn't have to stay in that poop hole they canceled my reservation because they can't get my card to go through because I purposely blocked it and I'm at the Hampton Inn locally in Deland where it is quiet and not on the highway where trucks pass every second. Don't reccomend. Also it says smoke free but when I visited all I smelled was smoke and homeless lol hang out here.
Reserved a room online. Understanding that it is a non refundable resevation. We were called to be informed our card denied the charges so we tried another card again denied. Two weeks after the denied charges and without ever staying at the place my bank was charged $180. We were DENIED, how are u gonna charge me for a room 2 weeks after the fact u DENIED my card. OWNER AND MANAGER ARE RUDE AND THIEVES!!! We were told he could not guarantee our room as we were going to try and get the cash for the room since we were on vacation. This is a bare bones operation, spotty wifi, no coffee maker, and no nearby restaurant. It is along side a state highway truck route, so definitely not a place for light sleepers. No maid service while I was there - two bath towels were all that was provided for my four day stay. Overpriced and definitely not on my list of nice places to stay. Avoid!
The bar is amazing. They need to update their hot water system. When you wake up, turn the hot water on and go for a jog around the block. It might be hot when you get back. ð
Comfortable place for the money on a high occupancy Daytona Turkey Run weekend. The queen beds were nice and clean. The couch with a fold out futon was great for additional sleeping guests. Continental breakfast was hot and included excellent choices

Wow. This place is pretty cool. I took my kids here last night and we had so much fun, they didnt want to leave. We met the owners Tony and Angel they are really cool and played some games with my kids. They do sell a few drinks and snacks. We loved
This is where I eat when in DeLand. Ribs, pork chops, meatloaf are all excellent. Prices are reasonable especially considering the portions. People there are friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not regret it.
