Astro Pasadena Hotel - Motel in Pasadena - 2818 E Colorado Blvd, USA

Management was very poor. The way they conduct business is beyond me or ever. How they continue serving the community of Pasadena. The pictures on other booking sites are very misleading. In addition, the receptionist had Poot customer service skills. She called me hyper when I was just frustrated because I was not allowed to cancel. I was very I happy with the asthetics of the property. It kind of felt like something off a movie in which sex workers meet up with clients there. Which is why we didn’t want to stay there.

I stayed the beginning of May 2023. My overall experience was mostly positive. The room was decorated cute and was comfortable. The only minor complaint was that there weren't any places to hang towels. And I had two bath towels when I arrived and came back to just one after the room was serviced. But the bed was comfortable and there was lots of space. My flight arrived early and I was able to check in a little early.

Room smelled funny but was nicely laid out with good amenities. Cool retro-style fridge and the best closet layout I've seen in a hotel. Parking is limited, but one of the staff (owners?) gave me his spot one night.

Looks like the rooms were improved. Location is what brings us back. Will do it again...

It's NOT a hotel but a motel. I will NEVER stay at this motel and I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!!! Don’t be fooled by the nice pictures, this place is just a cheap motel and it’s nothing like the pictures they put on the website. I spent $728 for 2 nights without getting good sleep. The blanket was thin and short that I was so cold for the first night. And I had a sore throat the next day. All right. They have a very small air conditioner in the room. However, it made a big noise. That was the reason why I didn't turn it on for the first night. Then, the room was next to their machine room (#210). When I was just about to sleep, if someone took shower, the machine was making a lot of noise to heat up the water. So, it was on and off during the 2 nights. No service at all. When I checked in and out, I had to stand in front of the recipient to wait for the lady to come out to talk to me. I was so cold so I asked if there was hot water or if they had anything to let me make some hot tea. NOPE!!! The shower gel and shampoo were mounted on the wall which were almost empty. When I push the button, there was only one small drip like a red bean size of shower gel and shampoo. The good thing was I brought my own shower gel and shampoo in case this kind of thing happened. $728 for 2 nights was way more than I thought. There was not good service and a good room for sleep. Oh, I forget to add one small guest we found on our bed. It was a small cockroach.

As far as the cheaper motels along East Colorado Boulevard go, this is the best one I’ve stayed at by far. My room was clean and incredibly spacious, especially the bathroom and shower. The space age vibe is genuinely cute. I absolutely got my money’s worth here. I will definitely come back to Astro Pasadena the next time I visit the area.

Much cuter than I expected. I had very low expectations, but it's not bad at all. The owner at check in was rude, but the other staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and redone. Bathrooms are missing towel bars and things but over all good
