This style of pizza is not something I’m always in the mood for, but when I am, I will only settle for Assembly. By far it’s the best Detroit style pizza I’ve had out here. I haven’t had a bad experience yet. The crust is delicious, yeah…I love it. The beer does just fine to have with the pie. And it’s just a great space as well. Plus it’s 21 and older, which is my favorite. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I found this place my googling “Black owned brewery Portland” and it was one of the best google searches ever because this place is AMAZING. They were so welcoming and the place looks great. There are plants everywhere and a super cool mural. The beer list my be short but everything we tried was high quality and super solid. There is no wrong choice. They have a great cocktail menu and cider as well. But I saved the best for last, the PIZZA. I don’t know what magic is in that dough but it was mouth watering. The veggie toppings were fresh and the marinara sauce was perfection.
Stopped by today in search of some legit Detroit style pizza... This place does not disappoint! The pizza was scrumptious and the beer was really tasty too. I also loved the space with tons of natural light and a cool mural that pays homage to the Detroit Industry Murals. Our server was absolutely lovely. Will definitely come back!
I normally don't like Detroit pizza, but Assembly's is wonderful. The special today was Wisconin inspired and it was damn good. We also enjoy bringing a board game to play while we eat.
Great beer, this place is heaven if you like IPAs I think they had 5-6 different ones on tap our visit. Detroit style pizza was also super delicious, perhaps a bit too much cheese in my opinion but that might be a bonus for some! Not sure if you can order "light on the cheese" but maybe inquire if you are not an extra cheese kind of person. Yummy crispy edges on the crust like it should be, get the small size so everyone gets a corner to maximize crusty goodness. Lovely airy dining room with good AC, big plants and plenty of seating. Oh and pinball! Service was friendly and prompt. Thumbs up, would definitely return.
Fabulous Detroit style pizza (thick, chewy crust with the requisite caramelized edges and simple sauce on top) and a decent beer selection. My Collage pale ale was crisp and clean. Every employee we encountered was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The interior is relaxing and spacious with tables placed a nice distance from each other. The fact that it’s 21 and over only is a huge bonus! We will be back!
Ordered a Detroit style pizza. It was very, very good. I have some leftovers to take home for breakfast. Thier beer selections are outstanding.
This place used to be amazing. 10 out of five stars. We came here all the time. Not sure what has happened but the last several times we've been it hasn't been nearly as good. Today we ordered the Italian grinder and it was a colossal rip off. $16 for a tiny, cold sandwich on dry bread with potato chips. Better than Subway, sure, but not better than Jersey Mike's and twice the price. Last time we had the special appetizer (jalapeño popper pizza rolls) and they were tasty, but at $3 each also a rip off. I realize things are more expensive for everyone these days, but at least keep the quality up if the prices are going to be so high. Pizza is not bad but not next level like before, and beer is still good.

Absolutely one of my favorite theaters in Portland. It's just beautiful inside. I typically only grab a slice and a pint for the movie. Do t really eat at the restaurant. Backstage is a great spot as well, just around the backside of the theater. Poo
Really pretty cocktails (the butterfly pea drink was AMAZING!), nice place to sit outside. Good place to be on a summer afternoon to just hang out for a while! Powellâs and Sizzle Pie are nearby if youâre trying to have an old portland style day.
Amazing spot for cider and gluten-free food. Huge list of ciders from all over. The Schilling Anniversary Pommeau is excellent. Kitchen is all GF so it is safe to eat and drink anything on the menu if you have gluten issues. I haven't had a corn do

Went here on a whim after a brewery we were going to go to ended up being closed. Beer was very good and the mushroom cheese steak ð service we also really great. Would recommend.
Our favorite place to eat in Portland! My husband and I were recently in Portland for 10 days and came to this restaurant at least 7 times. I wish I could recall the name of our server--I think it might have been Josh?--anyhow, he waited on us a bun
I love this spot. They have one of the best cappuccinos in Portland. The staff is always kind, and friendly. And the tunes are always on point. Pro tip: ask for sugar crunchies on your capp. You wonât regret it!
