The room was simple and homey, just like I like it. It was walking distance from the aquarium, beach, and the best restaurants. The pool was clean and warm. The place was laid back and had friendly staff. Beverages are available. Next time we plan to try the waffles.
This is an awesome little boutique hotel in the heart of Seaside. My husband and I absolutely adored our stay. All of the staff were super kind and helpful. I recommend staying in a King room on the top floor! The room was very clean, comfortable, and perfectly decorated. Loved the French press coffee and the shower. I did not use the heated saltwater pool (I know.. I'm cray cray) but my husband did and he said it was amazing. I personally loved being able to sip on a glass of wine by the fire pit! I honestly do not understand any negative reviews for this place. It is an ideal beach style, renovated motel turned hotel. The location? Unbeatable. Short walk to shops and restaurants, and an even shorter walk to the ocean. Cannot wait to stay here again!
Bed Bugs!! My family and I stayed here recently and I want to share our terrible experience. During our stay we noticed our room hadn’t been throughly cleaned. (Counters were dirty, cobwebs, and stuff left from previous guests under the couch) We didn’t think too much into it, as we didn’t plan to spend a lot of time on the hotel other than to sleep. We stayed one night. Upon arriving home I began to notice bug bites that were increasingly itchy like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I had welts. I did some research and found out what I had were indeed bed bug bites!!! By that time by husband and kids began seeing bites as well. I immediately contacted the hotel and reported this incident. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with management to take my concern seriously. Finally I was informed they had a pest contractor come out to do an inspection. “However he only found sand fleas, and general house insects.” And that she would refund my money due to our experience. They flat out lied and tried to cover up their negligence. Being told my claim was false was a slap to the face. When I asked if they could provide a copy of the pest inspection report, the manager Luz Alcantar stopped responding to my emails. There is no accountability from this hotel. I literally have trauma from this bed bug experience the least they could do is own up to their mistake and not try to cover it up.
We were given a call a day before letting us know the sauna would not be available or electric charger. We were bummed about the sauna, but didn’t want to rebook. Once we got there the staff was friendly and were able to accommodate us next to our other party that was with us.
Unfortunately when showering, we noticed the water and bathroom smelled terrible like rotten water. We thought it was just old piping and didn’t think too much of it. The next day we noticed black spots on the ceiling in the bathroom and told the front staff we would like to move rooms as I am pregnant and we were with our 1 year old and didn’t want to be in a room that had mold. They were not able to move us or really accommodate us at all other than have maintenance come by and “clean” the spot. They did say the hotel was fully booked. Was not really happy with that experience.
The beds/pillows were not comfortable and the blanket was covered with two flat sheets vs a duvet which got uncovered often and didn't feel sanitary. The heat/cool system also did not work well and it was often muggy and hot in our room.
The location is great and very walkable. It was nice to have complimentary tea, coffee, and water. We swam in the pool which was heated but did smell heavily of chlorine which I think is normal for hotel pools.
Overall we will not be booking at ashore again. It’s one of the more affordable options in seaside, but you miss out on comfort/other amenities.
My group and I had a spotless room with a beautiful view, we dined at the Tide Room restaurant inside the hotel which had an excellent selection of appetizers, food and drinks and the entire staff was professional and friendly. Jessica and Gary even went the extra mile to mail back a Garmin watch that I accidentally left in the room after checkout. 10/10 highly recommend!
Extremely friendly office staff. The rooms need a bit of upgrading. The shower curtain rod wasn't set at the right height and didn't even seem to be attached to the wall but set on top of the shower liner. The lighting was very dim in the room. No carpet on the ground has pluses and minuses. Sand is easily swept up but the floor is hard and cold. We were on the ground floor so I'm not sure if that's the case for the second level rooms. Maybe a rug? The TV was complicated to use, but we weren't there to watch TV, so, not that big of a deal. Very small pool but nice to have one anyway. Not sure how that could be improved without a major expense. Love the location. Perfect for strolling around town. Beds were comfortable. The doors to the bedroom need to be redone. Ours didn't close unless we really shut it hard. Normally hotel doors close on their own... It's nice that there are fridges in the room but the microwave being out in the parking area is really weird and kind of gross. Microwaves are inexpensive. Seems like an easy thing to put in the rooms. Lastly, being on the ground floor, our upstairs neighbors weren't especially loud but the creaking and thumping of their footsteps were very easily heard and obnoxious for how early they were awake. Overall, we'd go back but would love to see some upgrades/updates.
We stayed here for one night and were very impressed! The cost was affordable also. The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming. The location was fantastic only less than a block walk to the beach. The lobby also had coffee and beer which was an awesome bonus!
Don’t be fooled by the high ratings! This is just a basic motel trying to look trendy and rustic. It’s nothing but a bare minimum room with unfinished “garage like” floors and paper thin walls. Does not feel clean. Way overpriced. Stay away!!
this place is absolutely beautiful & so cute. i love that their flower is local & home grown & their display is TOP notch. Kory was our budtender, he was very nice & helpful !! would definitely recommend if youâre in the area !
It's a long, windy, and narrow road into the day use area, but it's definitely worth it. The coastline is beautiful. The parking was busy when we arrived, and there was a sign saying it was full when there were actually maybe 10 spaces still availabl
June is a great time of year because of all the wildflowers, but parking isn't great (so get there early!) 80% of the hike is relatively easy... but it's that other 20% that reminds you this IS a mountain after all. Don't let that deter you though! J
Love this store. She carries great local jams, syrups, nuts, wines, chocolates and other yummy things. She has a wonderful selection of Dean Crouser art things. Coasters, wall art, stickers & more.
Good breakfast sandwiches and fun latte flavors/themes, cool atmosphere, and community vibe. Arrow to the knee drink was delicious and would go here again â¨ï¸

The gentleman there was very helpful and informative. I loved the calm atmosphere with a hint of excitement. Talk about memories. Better than a Blockbuster. Took my son to experience and learn a little something about real movies. I see a new traditi
