We visited Ashland for a long weekend with two couples and another two friends. I had a hard time finding a spot for all of us together that wasn't just a bunch of hotel rooms, so I just felt lucky to find the Main Street Inn. Once we got there, I knew we had a real gem. The inn itself has all the quaint elements of a classic B&B, but also a number of amenities to make it comfortably modern. We had air conditioning, wifi, a fully stocked kitchen (down to pre-ground decaf coffee!), an absolutely wonderful back deck with table/chairs and umbrella, comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms, and adequate parking behind the inn. We were also greeted by local chocolates and spices in the rooms. We stayed in the upstairs Isabella suite, which had three bedroom and two bathrooms (plus a pull-out couch in one of the common areas). Our group had plenty of room to be social but also have some space to ourselves. In addition to great lodging, the innkeeper, Lynn, is always a great element of the stay at Main Street Inn. She's extremely competent, friendly, and helpful, and clearly really cares about her guests. She maintains a full stock of materials about local activities, menus, VHS movies (the TVs are older combo units with the VHS player), and more. I look forward to another stay at Main Street Inn when we visit Ashland and can't recommend it enough. One last benefit: the inn is within very easy walking distance (maybe 3-5 minutes total) to downtown!

My husband and I, our son and daughter-in-law and 8 yr old grandchild just spent three nights at the Main Street Inn which I picked based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was a great choice. The location is excellent -- easy walking distance to the downtown, the festival theaters and, surprise bonus, Mix Bakeshop with fabulous croissants and other treats. The innkeeper, Lynn, is helpful, kind, thoughtful and organized. She gave us good advice about all sorts of things and she organized the first floor apt where we stayed so intelligently -- night lights, tea and coffee and food bags, safety kit, plenty of towels, etc. It was unusually hot for our vist and the AC was good.||||The space was so comfortable for all of us to hang out. We used the two queen beds with our granddaughter in the day bed in the front room with bath near the kitchen. Our kids used the king bedroom and bath. Both bedrooms close off with sliding doors The living room dining room had lots of comfortable sprawl space. The kitchen was well equipped and the back patio had two large tables for family meals and a nearby grill which we didn't use. We loved staying here-- and I can be critical. ||||The only possible negative is that there are stairs from the parking area to the apt or you can wheel your luggage to the front and deal with only a few stairs. And Lynn is able and willing to help if it's a problem. We enjoyed Ashland and when we return, we will stay here again.||||Taking both the downstairs and upstairs would be terrific for a group of friends of a large family.

We have been travelling to Ashland and the Oregon Shakespeare Theatre for almost 20 years.||We have stayed in hotels and bed and breakfast accommodations but this was our best experience yet. The Main Street Inn is fully equipped with everything a home would need to relax, cook and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. This is all due to the fastidious attention to detail and caring of the proprietor, Lynn who makes it easy to feel comfortable in these beautiful rooms with high ceilings, comfortable furnishings and Victorian surroundings. All this within two blocks of Ashland's famous theatre and restaurants. We can't wait to go back.

Our family has stayed at this inn twice during current ownership. This time our group varied from two to eleven, and there's room for more. This beauty of an 1883 Victorian is elegant on the outside and spacious and clean inside. Very high ceilings, large rooms, fully-appointed kitchen, nice sitting area downstairs, decks on both floors (great for outside meals and for sunrise-watching). Gas grill permits barbecuing local produce and meats. Free wi-fi and off-street parking. The location is terrific, just a few minutes' walk to the Plaza, the theaters, restaurants, and stores. Although it's on a busy street, sound insulation is excellent, and traffic noise is subdued to the point of being white nose. Lynn, the innkeeper, is the perfect hostess, from her welcoming greeting to her send-off. She is always available to assist guests with information on plays, activities, services, etc. At the same time, she is sensitive to provide as much privacy as the guest desires. We look forward to staying here every time we return to Ashland, whether as a couple or in a group.

I have been going to Ashland for over twenty years. For several years I would go to Ashland a minimum of 4-5 times a year as I used to be on the board of Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Through these years I have stayed in many kinds of accommodations, from hotels, motels to B&B's. ||||I have stayed at Ashland's Main Street Inn now twice, and it is by far the best experience I have had. It is a beautiful victorian, with two flats with private parking, two blocks from the plaza and OSF. Besides the charming period furnishings and generous space provided, with full kitchen, wireless high speed internet, satellite tv, there is the innkeeper herself, Lynn. She went far beyond what was ever expected, including shopping for a missing computer cable I had forgotten to bring, and recording a tv show I would have missed. She also changed the luxurious Ralph Lauren down linens for me to as I am allergic to feathers. The second time I was there had recently lost my husband and she was so very sensitive to my fragile emotions, her kind nature was especially appreciated.

I stayed with some friends in this inn for 3 nights. There were 9 of us and we all fit into beds. No one had to sleep on the floor. The rooms were very clean! The keeper of the inn, Lynn, was very kind and generous. She provided complementary wi-fi, hot chocolate, coffee, chocolate and much more! This hotel was so wonderful and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place!!!!

This theater is incredible. There's not a bad seat in the house. It's worth every penny to see shows here. We are seeing The Three Muskateers and it's a true gem. Wine and beer, popcorn and cookies are all sold inside and can be taken to your seat.
