Ascent Uptown - Apartment rental agency in Charlotte - 225 S Poplar St, USA

While I’m not a resident here I I’ve been coming to the Ascent for over 2 years to teach yoga here. I’ve seen the property improve in various ways over the years. Not just your usual updates like more resident events but also updating common spaces and really making them more elevated. The best thing about the Ascent is their concierge Hutch. Hutch knows everyone by name, is always so pleasant and really keeps this place running like a well oiled machine. There have been other good concierges before but Hutch really elevates the services and ambiance of the Ascent making it really feel like a luxury high end living space it should a true doorman/concierge like in New York City. There are hardly ever packages waiting to be put where they belong and he runs a tight ship not letting anyone access any part of the building they shouldn’t be in, I SWEAR HE KNOWS WHICH FLOOR EVERYONE LIVES IN. Hutch really is an asset to the building and is a lovely person to speak with on my weekly visits here. If you’re looking to move into a place with nice amenities and phenomenal service this is the place!

All I have to say is… hands down, this is the best high rise in uptown — it all comes down to the leadership/leasing team (Everyone), but in recent months, I’ve worked closely with Joseph and Ashley and Marisol — and I can add Kevin to the list as well. I also have to give it to Alejandra - the maintenance supervisor who goes above and beyond to get the job done! I’ve known her for years and she always delivers, she’s always responsive, always available - and always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. More importantly, I have to give it to the faces of the building who keep things running smoothly - and that goes to our concierge team! I must say, there is one that stands out from the rest and it’s only because he takes pride in where he works, always has been a pleasure to work with, always positive energy, and always has an inviting/warm/welcoming approach that gives the residents a sense of comfort —- and that would be Mr. Hutch. Hutch handles each and every scenario professionally and with the utmost respect. If there were more people like him, the world would be a better place. I’m sure I speak for others when I say this — we feel very privileged to have Hutch here at the Ascent Apartments! :)

I want to express my gratitude for the outstanding service provided by two exceptional individuals at this location. Marissa and Jonathan have gone above and beyond to make the guest/resident experience truly exceptional. It’s evident that they genuinely care about ensuring anyone coming and going from the building feel supported and valued. Their dedication to enhancing the guest experience is commendable. From the moment I took my first tour, all the way through the completion of moving in, I was completely impressed by Joseph and Marissa’s professionalism and customer service. Even now as a current resident I always enjoy stopping by their offices to say hello. Ascent is second to none in my opinion in regard to its beauty and location. Right in the heart of uptown Charlotte, there’s countless places to eat, drink and explore all within walking distance. I highly recommend living here at Ascent above all others! -Anthony

Moved in here three months ago and so far have been mostly loving our experience here! There are a few minor things that I wish were different such as the fan in the bathroom coming on when you turn the light on as it's incredibly loud in the middle of the night and unnecessary most of the time. We also had a issue when we first moved in where the freight elevator broke and caused our move to take double the time, costing us double because our movers were paid by the hour. It also caused a back up on the elevators for the rest of the residents as there was only one to use while we used one and one broken. It's mostly incredibly quiet and you can't hear any outside noises except when a fire truck goes by or if someone is revving their engine super obnoxiously. But we're in the city center. City sounds are to be expected. It's truly relatively quiet. But honestly most things are livable with and this has been the best decision to move here. Concierge is literally the best. Bryce at leasing is so kind and helpful! The building is kept incredibly well cleaned thanks to a hard working team of cleaners who I see nearly every morning when I'm taking my dog outside. I'm so glad my fiance and I made the choice to move here. It's been a great experience for us overall. Edit: after two years we are moving out due to cost of living being too high but I want to give a specific shout out to Hutch who's been literally the best person at the concierge desk. He's so kind and always brings a smile to my face when we chat. I'll miss him!

This is an AMAZING community overall. 3 years here and no plans to leave. The leasing staff is top notch. Mr. Able & Ms. Sharp are friendly, thorough, and always go above and beyond. They take complaints serious and work hard to resolve them. The staff stays on top of maintenance issues which in 3 years, Ive only contacted maintenance once. If you want a top notch community with top notch staff. The Ascent is where to be. Location Location Location.

My fiancé and I recently toured this gorgeous complex and I was so impressed. I received a tour from Marissa, Kevin and Joseph. They were extremely welcoming. The amenities were unmatched. From personal massage rooms to pools opened all year, I was blown away. The apartments themselves were immaculate. I felt like I was in a five star hotel. The Ascent is a beautiful building with amazing apartments, views, and roof top amenities. Moving from LA, I had been advised and planned to live in South End after my first visit to Charlotte. However, once I went on the tour of the Ascent I changed my mind. Aside from the great apartments and amenities, the staff was top notch. I went on a tour in the morning with the leasing agent Joseph. He was a very charismatic young man who did such a great job highlighting the benefits of living in uptown, I questioned my plan to live in South End. I went on 6 more apartment tours afterwards in South End and came back in the afternoon to tour the Ascent 1 more time with a friend. Marissa was the leasing agent, and she was equally as amazing. She was even nice enough to stay past the end of her shift to show us the apartment again and answer any questions. Overall, it was a great experience. I submitted my application and plan to move in next month.
