We had great expectations for this place due to the reviews. From the start it was overly warm inside. We ordered soup and salad to start. They were good especially for the price. We then ordered a Mexican roll, volcano roll, and spider roll. The Mexican roll was flavorless and chewy. Didn't taste fresh at all. Volcano roll was over baked and chewy. The crab didn't taste good at all. The spider roll was horrible. The crab was as chewy as an over fried oyster. Never again.
Asahi really is a local gem, food is fresh, location feels tucked away avoiding the bigger spots traffic.
Sushi is always amazing, appropriately priced and never too busy.
If you want good sushi, and don't want to wait for it Asahi is your spot.

Did not disappoint! We got simple rolls our first trip but will be back for more elaborate ones. Soup and salad were amazing. So we're the chicken skewers.
We took my oldest for her 10th birthday. And everyone got something different and everyone enjoyed. Been coming here since I was in college and I’ll continue to come back. Thank you!
This sushi really lacked. Worst sushi I have had all year and I’m pregnant so was craving it like crazy. Spent $40 and the sushi barely had any fish in it and the rice was incredibly sticky. Got all cooked sushi because that’s the only thing I can eat and the shrimp was funny tasting. Soup was good. The service was good but everything lacking and kitchen was disgusting when I passed by. Never will eat her again
This place is a gem tucked in a Big Lots plaza. We've been going here since 2009, maybe earlier. Great food and fair prices. Service is always on point. Call ahead if you have a big party, there is not much space.

The garlic sauce is different everyone I get it. The first time was great. 2nd 3rd 4th time just gross. Inconsistencies will ruin this place. No fortune cookies
The fish was so fresh and nice, great service. My family really enjoyed each item that we ordered from the menu.

We went in around 2:00 for a late lunch and it was terrific. No large crowd, food was delicious, service was prompt and friendly and we weren't rushed. Definitely will be going back to this particular location.
