ARTlab Living (New Haven) - Furnished apartment building in New Haven - 280 Crown Street Entrance on, High St, USA

Strongly recommend Compass and the ARTlab Metro 280 apartments. Everything was beyound expectations. The process from my initial call to documents access all went as describe. And was easy. The unt was great, fresh, clean, well furnished and comfortable. Checkout was easy with no added fees. Compass is now on my list as the first choice to stay should they be located in a city I travel to.

3.5 stars - Overall very spacious, modern apartments with very comfortable, luxurious beds and a good gym around the corner run by responsive, professional, friendly staff. Perfect location for hospital stays. I've stayed in multiple units (4D and 1A) by now. However... - no curtains anywhere...lots of light gets in at night and heat is lost! Yet there are signs everywhere about protecting the environment - lots of noise in unit 4D and I suspect many of the upper level apartments or ones not facing into the inner alleys/courtyards - no doorbell system so have to go down to let people in (maybe this is for security) - weird layouts and dimensions (lots of empty space) - lack of furnishings....in 1A, an allegedly 1800 2br 2ba sq ft apt, there is no coat closet or place to take shoes on or off but there is 200 sq ft of empty space around you when you walk in. The bathroom in 4D was similar...a big space in the middle - low kitchen utensils: inconsistently stocked - there was actually less in the kitchen in 2br 2ba unit (1A) than in 4D! - the heating system does not work at all in 1A....had to turn the temp up to 80 to get the real temp to above 65. Maybe the high ceilings made it difficult to achieve and/or maintain a constant temperature - no package delivery system or place...boxes are just left in the unattended lobby, piling up. Someone had sent flowers here and the management company around the corner had to hold onto them for us - parking spaces not necessarily available in the garage below even if you've rented an apartment - trash was piling up and spilling out of dumpsters in the parking garage
