Artistry Emeryville Apartments - Apartment complex in Emeryville - 6401 Shellmound St, USA

We have been residents for nearly 12 years. This speaks volumes as to why Artistry is a great place to live. The staff has been very accommodating when special issues/situations arise. They also pay attention when something needs their attention. And, the maintenance staff is amazing. They make repairs as quickly as possible. If you want to live near SF but without SF rent prices, I recommend you check out Artistry.

This is my review after signing my lease a few days ago: I am slowly moving into Artistry, and I will say, upon touring I felt like I was already a member of their community. Nathalie was very hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Any question I had, she was able to provide me insight or point me to the right direction. Her level of professionalism is unmatched! I would give a 4.5 star due to tech difficulties on their website but I’d rather give a full 5 because Nathalie was quick to mitigate the issue. It all worked out, and I am now part of the community. What made me choose them upon others is their staff. Other apartment communities I've spoken to or toured (same price range/similar square footage/same district in Emeryville (District 3): Unkept, had water damage, staff wasn’t present when I wanted to tour, and some that I’ve just called seemed rude/displayed attitude because I asked to tour. Artistry, however, displays their knowledge of customer service, despite the many directions they seem to be pulled in. I would recommend asking questions to determine if this is the right place for you, as the staff member I spoke to had the answers.

Nathalie was amazing! Having to move from Chicago to San Francisco and not knowing the area at all, she made the move-in process so easy, pleasant, and worry-free. Nathalie knows her stuff- she informed us very thoroughly about every detail we needed to know when moving with professionalism and friendliness. The apartment itself is wonderful, clean, and close to everything. Right next to the ac transit stop that goes to UC Berkeley and walking distance to a ton of shops and restaurants.

Worst property management ever!!! Someone occupied our reserved parking spot. The leasing office was closed. Called the property’s maintenance line for 9 times and being referred to 4 different numbers but NONE OF THEM ARE EVEN VALID NUMBER!!! It’s been 90 minutes now and NO ONE from the maintenance team can provide us a solution. We ended up parking at another spot without knowing whether that spot was reserved by someone else or not. Updated: the leasing team told me there’s nothing they can do immediately if someone parked at my reserved spot🙂. They said I shouldn’t call emergency maintenance because being unable to park my car and go to sleep at midnight is not emergent at all🙂. They said they do not know what to do if same thing happen again because they are unable to answer any questions for the future🙂.

All the stars for the staff! The showing person Ziomara was an absolute sweetheart and super helpful. She answered all my questions with confidence and ease. Sadly the Artistry is a little outdated for my taste, so I didn't end of renting here.

The worst apartment that I’ve lived in. Absolutely hated the area and the community. The apartment complex smells like dog wee mixed with some strong unknown smell. We tried to contact the office for the floor repair and the rent payment issue. The manager avoided the problem by not responding to our emails. When we met in person, they kept saying that they will deal with it but turned out that they never did even after that we have moved out. During the two time that we met with the manager, she kept yelling at us in a disrespectful way even though she was the one cutting me out every time. Ironically, it turned out that we were charged for the floor repair after we moved out. Hated the 11 months that I’ve lived there and do not ever want any connection with this community:)

I enjoy living here is close to everything, also the staff is great they are very helpful and reply fast. If you need a place to live in Emeryville area I really recommend it.
