I make it a point to stop here whenever I am in Hood River. I love this place and have been coming here for years. The owner was very friendly and helped me find the book I was looking for very quick. I always find the funniest stickers here. This time around was the first time my partner had ever visited this place, and once we got out, she was extremely pleased and wanted to come back again! Of course, the next time I am in Hood River, I will be stopping by! :)
Funky fun shop near lots of parking! It was a ROASTY day out when we stopped by so we didn’t browse long. Enjoyed seeing full shelves, and a good variety of genres! Shop leans a little heavier on fiction rather than non-fiction (which does not bother me!), staff was friendly at check out. Definitely worth a stop!
If you come to Hood River and don’t visit Artifacts, you missed an opportunity my friend. Turn that vehicle around and come back. If you are here, GO! It’s a book store, like any other, sure. But it has so many goodies and all the bad art you could possibly need!! There is a reason, even as a resident of HR, that I represent Artifacts on my water bottle and computer. I LOVE IT THERE! If I need a gift or a postcard or tarot cards or stickers or soap, or even a book, I go to Artifacts. Yes, they even have books! Those are those small objects that you can open up and find pieces of paper with tiny little writing that provides you with a story of some sort. If you haven’t heard of one, I strongly recommend.
It helps that this place is hip and the owner is amazing. Don’t take my word for it, go!
Love this place. A tome-lover's paradise. Piles and rows and not the kind of place you go to looking for a specific book. You go and browse and discover. In the era of Powell's and Amazon, this place is everything a bookstore was and SHOULD still be.
Three stars here because we could only look in the windows as it wasn’t open during posted hours. Don’t know what happened my wife and I drove there based on Google recommendations but couldn’t shop.
Friendly, fun people/atmosphere and tons of variety. Plus, they had the older book I wanted for a friend's birthday!!
great selection of books but the woman working was so incredibly rude....she greeted every person that came in except me and my family. we were the only ones in the small shop when we got there and she definitely looked at us and walked past us multiple times without a word or a smile. she was so rude we didn't buy anything and left. racist.? i don't know but it was super weird. not going back
We found this bookstore by chance, and I'm so glad we did. For its medium size, it has an amazing amount of books, cool stickers, bumper stickers, postcards, etc. I'm pretty sure I saw more books by an author I love than at an enormous bookstore in a big city. If I have my way, we'll be dropping by again on our next trip!

Best breakfast sandwich I have had In a very long time, hands down. Golden Goods sweeps you into an inviting space, with fresh baked aromas, and smiling faces. Don't miss out on a stop at Golden Goods, your mind and body with thank you!
Killer street tacos! These are so authentic you'll feel like you're in Mexican beach town, and they won't break the bank either! The adobada, carne asada, and pork carnitas are excellent.

Surprising little gem of a brew pub. Small tap list focused more on German style beers. Friendly service. Freshnet Helles was very good, Kolsch beer as well. Worth a visit.
Great place! Clean rooms with a modern vibe. I appreciate the convenience of being able to get right in to the room without having to deal with checkin. Some people mentioned road noise but we slept until 8:00 one day which has probably never happene
We had our wedding at the Ruins on 8/5/23 and it was an amazing experience! Ryan and Elody were great to work with leading up to the day and Michael was a great bartender for the evening - very friendly and personable! The ruins is a beautiful venue
Kelsey just sold me a running experience in the form of a running shoe. My daughter told me that this place is awesome and I totally agree. Sorry Jeff Bezos...I am coming here for future purchases.
This is our second time visiting the highway. And a second time doing it on E bikes. It is a wonderful ride. A combination of hikers and bicyclists. The road is wide and well taken care of. I am sure you could easily hike or ride a regular bike as we
