We have stayed here twice, and have had a great experience each time. This most recent trip, Patrick made all of the difference. Although they could use a little extra cleaning help, overall the service was excellent, and the employees were all friendly. The pool was also heated while we were there, and the continental breakfast was nice. Crescent Bay Beach across the street, the nearby convenient trolley stop to get into town, and the Stop-and-Go mart all made staying just outside of the main area of town worth it. It was pure bliss, and really -- I can't say enough about Patrick, and how inclusive he is of everyone. If you don't mind a little imperfection and quirkiness, you'll love this place. I want to say it is that sweet spot between hotel and charming motel, and I really appreciate the ways they try to be green.
Booked online. Mistake. Website very misleading. It’s a motel not hotel. I was told it was a boutique hotel. I’ve stayed in boutique hotels and this doesn’t come close!! The building needs painting and total renovation. The pool was not heated and dirty. Sand on the bottom from not being vacuumed. First room offered to us had a horrible smell. Sheets were dirty, had body hair on them. Told the manager and he upgraded us to another room which was just being cleaned. The room was clean. The sliding screen door broke when I went out on small patio. Continental breakfast was ok. Omelets were available on request. Wasn’t sure what that could have been with no staff around to even ask! A definite no!!! I gave it a 2 because the second room was clean. I would have given it a zero if not for the upgrade on our room.
Perfect little hotel for our family! The best part about this hotel is Patrick at the front desk. He is a true delight and goes above and beyond for the guests, and you can tell he enjoys people. This hotel is a perfect location away from the chaos, close to the beach, and near the Trolley stop. We will definitely be back to stay at this hotel.
I booked this hotel for a week vacation to visit family. Great location off the beautiful PCH, easy access to the beach, close to Crystal Cove State Park. ||I love that they have popsicles and cookies for kids (and adults) every day. The room we had was renovated and spacious. The bathroom was also quite large, which is nice when you’re sharing that space. Continental breakfast is what you would expect- typical fare of bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit. An employee mentioned omelets but I didn’t see any of that. ||Parking is below the hotel. I was confused because there are signs that say Valet Only. The pool is quite small but it was enough to satisfy kids. They do have towels available for the pool and beach. I did not utilize the laundry area.||There is a small sitting/common area near the pool and it’s in front of first floor rooms. It was a bit annoying waking up before 7am to a family sitting there talking loudly like who cares there may be guests sleeping at that hour. And occasionally someone listening to something or on speakerphone early in the morning. If you are on vacation and wish to sleep in like I had, I would recommend asking for a room away from that area.||What I did not expect was construction. Throughout the week, we woke up to construction as early as 7:30. And it happened to be in the room next to us and above us. Had I known this, it would have absolutely been a factor in which hotel I booked. When I’m on vacation and looking to sleep in, that is also something I don’t want to wake up to. It would have been nice if that was advertised somewhere on the site.||Overall, decent place to stay.
This place was great. Just across the street from the beach, minutes from the state park. So much to do around the area. Check-in with Patrick, a wealth of knowledge for the area, and super welcoming.
Thanks for the great stay!
The highlight was definitely the service! Patrick helped us check in, gave us wonderful recommendations, and was all around amazing! Would come back just because of him.
The gorgeous beach is just across the street, amazing amazing location. AND there's a little mini Mart right next door that's open late in case you need snacks or anything later.
The only down fall is the rooms are not very clean. You have clean bedding and the main hard surfaces have been wiped down, but the walls, floors, shower, crevices, and baseboards are very very very ick. My families room was completely out of any form of soap or shampoo also.
The rooms have been updated nicely, and we love love Patrick.
But please hire more people for cleaning and/or they need some thorough training.
The rooms are spacious with super comfortable beds and a Kerig coffee machine at your fingertips !!! A mini microwave & fridge to keep your cold things cold and a thermostat for your room that you control !!! The grounds are super whimsical and charming with sweet little balconies that make you feel like you're in a fairy tale !|| Each and every Host was very personable and Happy to greet and meet you and acomadate !!! Dylan, Patrick and Mario went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable and memorable in soooo many ways !!! Even the maids were happy and eager to assist !||PLUS, it's just a hop, skip and a jump away to the Ocean and downtown Laguna !!! All in all, I had an absolute enchanting stay at a whimsical place and I met the most wonderful people that I'll never forget !!! ||❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 ❤️
The Art Hotel is a tiny little old-school motel sitting just above the PCH. It's perfect in its simplicity--convenient but not chaotic location, very comfortable rooms, amazing beds, great shower, quirky and cute decor, no-fuss parking, and THE LITERAL NICEST PEOPLE. Everyone we spoke with went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and knew our way around the area. Don't worry that it's on the PCH, Laguna has strict noise-enforcement, so the traffic is not bothersome. Also, it's out of the fray of the beach village, but just across the street and a few (steep) steps down to a terrific little separate cove with tidepools and a little beach. There were even some marine life docents when we were there. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely keep it on our go-back list!

Relaxing, calm, scenic, just a few words to describe Casa Laguna Hotel. So many nooks and crannies to get lost in and relax in quiet peace. There's a heated pool and hot tub and more than a dozen patio tables and furniture tucked away in out of the
My husband and I had a last minute staycation for my birthday. The front desk person was very inviting with a complementary glass of wine and helpful guide of the hotel.
Loved the fire pit and the coziness of the cafe lights, ocean views. Very clean
Lovely location and staff. La Casa Del Camino is really in a nice spot, only a breezy mile walk away from the action, so itâs not loud at the hotel. The views are great if youâre staying on the second floor or higher. And they have a great roofto
Stayed only one night but so enjoyable! Perche is a lovely room with a soaker tub and shower in-one! Had a light dinner at the bar and a fantastic breakfast (that was included in the room rate). Kevin, the bartender, made some great drinks and we cha
