Nice play structure, wheelchair accessible. Swing for wheelchair and also special needs swing. Basketball, baseball, benches, picnic table. Many mature trees. City is planning major renovations, start/completion dates unknown.
Great park for all ages. Many activities to enjoy, it has tennis courts, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a playground, plenty of walking trails and benches. I'm relatively new to the Pittsburgh area and this was gem of a park find for me. Will continue to enjoy it on a weekly basis to say the least. Would recommend it to anyone looking to go enjoy their day at the park!
A little graffiti'ed but nice. I will always enjoy coming here, seeing the squirrels, and walking under the tall trees.
I was able to walk through at night on my way to find a geocache. 20 degrees and my dog was not committed to this cold walk Haha!
I really needed a bathroom. They had port-a-potties there. I was skeptical at first but they were pretty clean and had toilet paper! Saved me that day! Otherwise the park is nice and peaceful.
Very interesting history about the park and surrounding area. We made a quick walk through because it was so cold, but if the weather were nice, it seems like a great place!
There are a couple of fields, a concrete entertainment area, tennis courts, and a playground. Very nice park! The farmers market is my favorite part, even though it doesn't start until June. Fairly clean, really nice to walk around in. Very close to the road, so sometimes you can hear traffic. Overall, great bit of nature!
I love heading down to Arsenal just about any day of the week. There is ample shade and seating, which makes it nice even on toastier days. I do have to say the hill from Butler up to Penn Ave is absolutely horrendous, so be prepared for that if you're walking there. The tennis courts are super well kept, as is the playground area. There are usually a few people in the park, so its never really empty which is nice. It's very safe and I believe they even installed new lights near the tennis courts for the evenings. They could do some work on the pavement as it's become a bit rough in areas.
There's a lovely community garden at this entrance that is ripe for picking vegetables (pictured below). Parking is also very close within a minute of walking.
Wicked cool. Movie in the pool once a month, playground is different than others which is great. Live music every Wednesday in the summer!
Pizza at the snack shack is super good and the family that runs it makes it themselves. I think it was like $4
Beautiful place to hike jog ,and hopefully swim if the pool opens . There is a dog park ,duck pond volley ball sand court. As well as groves you can grill out in . Peaceful waterfalls
Right behind the zoo . The main entrance leads to the reservoir. O
Absolutely obsessed with this place! First, itâs a Really nice spot to go for a walk. the trail is parallel to the river so itâs a nice scene. Thereâs also a âspray painting allowedâ rule so you can do your own or admire the other beautifu
I always come here for the peace and quiet. Nice view of the river and the bridge. Great trails for riding. Access to the water for fishing. There's even a little island to go onto when the waters low.
This is a great, spacious spray park and playground! Lots of benches and tables with umbrellas. Can get crowded at times, but people come and go. Due to location, not a lot of parking, better to go weekdays, after lunch time, it's not as bad. Great
One of the best Corssfit community i've trained with. Amazing place to train, good plans, amazing coaches! It has a lot of parkings si it's easy to visit with car.
Highly recommended! Location, landlord, and overall conditions have all exceeded my expectations in every way so far. Details below.
Location: *Extremely* nice part of town. The 2421 Beechwood building neighbors the Frick Park trails, and is a half
I joined Stride as a founding member because it was close to my apartment. I didnât run much prior and walked the first couple months of taking classes there and can honestly say every workout is as high or low impact as you want to make it. Every
