When I made the reservation, a man answered, sounding flustered and handed the phone over to a girl who said she wasn't trained to take my information so only took my name and confirmed the day. I didn't feel comfortable but as we were only passing through for the night, I left it. When we got there, it was not like its picture, very run down. The entrance was confusing and had a pass code lock on it. We knocked and got a grumpy, What? A man came out and when I said my name and we had a reservation, he said, She said she called you to cancel because the guy in that room decided to stay. I told him she never took my phone number. He said she must have called the wrong number. He did offer to have one of his workers sleep in his space for the night and we could have that room. No way was I staying in someone's space in that run down place. We ended up driving another 45 minutes to find another hotel and this was after a 10 hr drive.
My husband and I had car troubles on a trip and were stranded. The woman running the place that night is a life saver. We barely made it to the nearest town and would have had to sleep in our vehicle and probably nearly freeze to death. She gave us a spare room and didn’t even charge. I cannot put into words how thankful we are to have come across this place after being turned away by 2 other establishments where we first got stuck. It’s very rare to find such good people anymore. Conveniently located right off the interstate, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The lady there is very kind and friendly. There is also a stellar view of Salem Sue. Would definitely stop by again on my travels.
Place is shady, and I say that because the person would have liked to bd paid in cash, and credit was a link to one of her cash cards, no online reservations, didn’t ask for I.d, deposit, nothing,||When I got to the room o see why, the room reminded me of a cheap run down Las Vegas motel, can u say tacky, no breakfast just some junk they looked like it was thrown together by a ten year old. ||Didn’t sleep at all, kept hearing noises thought someone was gonna either break in and killl or tape me. Scary place don’t go
This place is wonderful. I called at like three in the morning looking for an off-the-highway pet friendly motel room in the middle of a very long road trip. They were SO FRIENDLY and accommodating. They even set our room up with snacks and dog treats and dishes when we arrived and were so gracious about check-out time knowing we got in late! Lots of quaint personal touches ❤️ Our vehicles were safe overnight, packed with our belongings. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and would love to stay again if we ever find ourselves somewhere in the middle of North Dakota.
Stayed for a week, new lady is nice, she even left snacks in my room! Nice rooms. Orange cat is a gentleman, I think his name was Jake. Great location in walking distance to two gas stations, a diner, and a bar. What more could you ask for. You can see a large cow on an adjacent hill.
We are traveling across the states from my. We only stay at little motels. This one was a treat. The woman at the desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfy. The water pressure was great. They leave out snacks for the guests, such a nice touch. It was one of the best motels we have stayed at on this trip. If you want new and flashy, don't stay here. If you want a good night's sleep with the feel of home. This is your place.
I would stay here again. The woman who owns and operates Arrowhead is very friendly and accommodating. She made sure I had whatever I needed, provided snacks for me, plus provided a toy, a bowl, and treats for my dog. Checkout time was very flexible to allow for people to sleep in and relax in the mornings. The woman who owns Arrowhead is doing her best to try to make the inn appealing and comfortable. The price is right, the location is great, you get a view of a large, veiny cow atop a hill, and a welcoming kitty committee. It was an enjoyable stay.
