Easy to cross the bridge on foot or bicycle. I went both directions on an early fall day while out exploring on my bike. It was Saturday and the traffic wasn't too heavy or loud, pick a day like this if you want to bring your "timid" children for an Awesome walk
I have no problem with the bridge just know traffic is a mess on the portland side with construction happening.
Beautiful bridge for photography. The photo is of the ice jam from last years winter
Beautiful scenery as you walk or drive on this massive bridge.
gorgeous place. Sunsets are always so pretty, the bridge is a lovely background on a photo, hundreds of people visit for a few photos here. You may fish here too as well as party near the shore and join a mini cruise.
A great bridge. One of the best in CT, maybe the whole east coast. People walk and run across its seemingly endless sidewalks, on both sides of the bridge. If you want an upstream view, go for it. If you want to see the downstream side and the rotating train bridge, it's there. Quite a sight to see, and impressive that such feats are even possible. What a great bridge. Really special.
The bridge holds many, many wonderful memories of my childhood years! Now as a lady in my senior years I have often felt the joy of my childhood years as I traveled over the bridge recalling fondly my cousin who made such bridge crossings well worth while!
I ride over the acrimonious bridge daily on my bicycle 🚲 and I love it I go through moodus to the singing bridge in East Haddam back into middletown great ride 👍🚲
Excellent food quality and taste. Professional service and great Middle Eastern/ Asian cuisine.
The only thing I noticed that they give very little napkins, like they have some sort of shortage or something.
