Gorgeous scenery, feels like I stepped in a fairy tale forest. Definitely worth going. We found a few 4 leaf clovers too! Pros:stunning/friendly atmosphere and staff Con: parking is very limited/bathrooms kinda dark, no paper towel to dry hands

One of our favorite places. Armstrong Woods is great for hiking, short nature walks, and unique amazing trees. Some of the tallest/biggest trees in the world, and easy access/ parking/ hiking trails. $10 to park inside the park or in the outer parking lot, easy pay stations where you can use credit card or cash (and usually an attendant at the kiosk on the way into the park). It’s a Christmas tradition to go walk in the quiet, serene park on Christmas Day. 🎄 [Pro tip: Coffee Bazaar on Armstrong Woods Rd. is open Xmas day and sells tasty coffee drinks and pastries as well as breakfast burritos!]

The Park is so beautiful. There is no entrance fee but have to pay 10 dollars for parking. If you park outside it's free. Perfect place for one day trip with kids. Most of the trails are strollers/wheelchair accessible. The person in the visitor center is so nice and helpful.

This was our first visit since the disastrous fires in 2017. Much of the park is closed for the area to be able to recover, but the main grove is open and beautiful. It was raining when we visited (appropriate since it is a rain forest) so we only covered a mile or so of the trails that are open, but it was very peaceful among the redwood giants. This is a great visit for an easy walk and picnic (on a dry day)- hopefully the outer trails will be opened soon!

My wife and I had a great time walking through the woods. She must use a walker to get around, and the trails we took were fantastic for her! One of the things I especially appreciated at the beginning of the trail was a sign that said what to expect on the trail with regard to distance, pitch, and grade. So we knew how difficult it would be for her to walk. Once we were on the trail we thought the woods, the plants and the wildlife were absolutely gorgeous! She loves to take photographs of mushrooms and lichen. I love to see her smile as we explore.

Easy trails, easy hikes along the Redwoods on a compact dirt path. There is a parking lot at the visitor center, $10 parking fee with clean flushing toilets and running water ~ I think they makes the $10 fee worth it. You can choose to drive inside the park but very limited parking space and mostly for ADA parking. Mostly people just park outside the entrance if the parking lot is full.

This is a fantastic, must visit vacation or day trip venue in Northern California. The Redwood forest here is a sight to see with beautiful ground covers consisting of clovers and ferns. These huge redwoods will take your breath away. Its amazing that some of the redwoods here are 1400 years old! I highly recommend bringing the family here and then planning a picnic lunch. There is no per adult entry fee. Instead, they charge $10 for parking -- per vehicle. BTW the campgrounds are closed until further notice (after a Forrest fire a couple of years back).

Wonder and majesty. If you haven't been in a grove of redwoods, make the time to make a visit here or somewhere else they remain. When here, please stay on the trail. Redwoods have shallow roots. If everyone goes off trail, damage to young trees and habitat. That means explaining to young children why we do this and why we need to care for the few remaining redwoods in California. Fewer than five percent of the original old growth redwoods of California remain. The Walbridge fire did some damage here but these trees are still standing! Take some time to learn about how and why these trees not only survive fire but need fire. Accessibility: There are some accessible parking spots in the park. Ask the staff member at the entrance for more information. The trail is manageable for a cane. Maybe yes or no for walker depending on type. Maybe yes or no for wheelchair depending on type and time of year (how muddy it might be, etc.). Entry is ten dollars. 62 and over nine dollars. The road through the park is extremely narrow and essentially a one way road that is used in both directions. Drive slowly and be cautious when encountering another car.

We visit this location on our anniversary to try to have a nice quiet breakfast. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly customer service by a young gentleman, he proceeded to seat us at a booth near the window, which was a very nice view.
