Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar - Night club in Bandera - 308 Main St, USA

It's our 1st time here. We heard music from the street level, so we decided to walk in. It's definitely a good place to have an iced cold bottle of beer...and I mean...ICE COLD! CASH ONLY! The ambiance is fun. The place is quaint with a lot of character. The bartender was friendly and even chit chatted with us for a bit. They had Sunday jazz/blues live music. People danced on sawdust floor. The music was GREAT! Come check them out for yourself!!

4,7 stars - for authenticity! This place has a lot of character. Loved the elderly, no- fuss bartender. Made me feel at home. Loved the ambience where everyone seemed to be having a good time. Simple, relaxed, unpretentious, real. There was live music (cowboy music) and I loved how people got up and danced to it. Beers were $3 each. Had to walk up and down the street quite a bit before I figured out the place is just a door that takes you to the basement! 🤣 Hard to find, but a gem. September 5, 2021

OPEN CHRISTMAS DAY EVERY YEAR! December 25th can be lonely for some of us, lucky I found this historic bar spent my Christmas Day/ night there listening to a band and drinking cold beer. So if your reading this and find yourself lonely on Christmas like I did last year, just know this place never closes on Christmas Day. So if I find myself alone again this is where I’ll be. As a kid, I grew up here. It remember sleeping at the fire mantel and on my parents laps as my family had the time of their life. As an adult, me and my friends couldn’t wait to be here on weekend nights. We still visit and Arkey and his family are just like they’ve always been; great.

Great atmosphere, and ice cold beer. No whiskey so if you’re not a beer drinker, you might not be happy with this place but they had some great live music, and just a whole lot of real genuine good people sharing stories and dancing the night away

Beer and wine and conversations. Pool and real pin ball (Dolly Parton). This place has been here for a long long long long time. Grab a friend and a beer and then talk to some people. There's a juke box and a sawdust dance floor for a little boot scooting. This is not a high brow bar, it's a real bar with beer. The wine is individual serving bottles. You're here for the party not the pretense. Have a great time and enjoy.

Everything about this place is dated and that's what keeps me going. From the jukebox to the pinball machines and telephone booth, this place is a stairway down to the past so i recommend you stop by and enjoy the experience. Bring cash and grab a cold beer.
