Been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. Food is delicious & service is great! Restroom is also very well maintained which a big plus especially when pregnant lol. This time around I ordered the Country Eggs Benedict, highly recommend.
My first visit here. Had my favorite which is French Toast, Eggs & Bacon. It came with Strawberries Cinnamon & Powdered Sugar, thick sliced bacon, two strips. Very nice. Total with Coffee was $14.00 The place was crowded with Local customers. I got the last open table. I’d eat here again but try & avoid 9:30 AM
We had table 10, our server was on point, the bacon was cooked to perfection... exactly how I wanted it.. extra crispy. Mmmm.. I'm diabetic so, I had a sausage omelet with cheese, with tasty vegetables... the staff was really friendly..definitely going back.
Their cafe con canela is just like mom's and so is their crispy bacon. :) If you're looking for a good priced breakfast arrive before 10 am. Pictured is oldfashioned oatmeal w raisins brown sugar and milk. And, a crispy shredded chicken taco w avocado.
Popped in late morning after a hike. Seated ourselves at one of two available tables; place moderately busy. Received lukewarm, watery coffee and son asked for water shortly after seated & waitress took orders ~5mins later; food received 20 mins later. Noticed smell of cinnamon as waitress passed by to table next to us. Wasn’t aware until after second refills offered of the bland coffee, and third pass from waitress that the table next to us had gotten fresh hot cinnamon coffee; a waitress then offered the cinnamon coffee to us at which point we were two bites from completing our meals. I did mention it to the elderly hostess (? Owner) at check out who then offered me a cup to go, but too late. The food was usual diner fare, nothing creative + stingy with strawberries on french toast & no whipped cream, and the less than stellar customer service/coffee issue was something that influenced any desire to return.
This is a hole in the wall GEM! Small family run business with home cooked quality food!! It’s as if you sat at their kitchen table and got a delicious home made meal. Good portions and delicious flavors.
Came to Salinas for Dr appointment and tried this place. Food and service was excellent. Came back for a follow up and made sure we ate here before we left. Ordered Chile rellenos/ enchilada and everything was great
Amazing service and coffee. Very friendly and engaging staff. Clean dining room. Plenty on the menu to pick from for the picky eaters. The omelettes are incredible and will definitely bring out of town guests here to enjoy them. The house salsa was perfect. A very enjoyable experience at a good price.
I enjoy going to first awakenings! The customer service is fantastic! You're always greeted when you enter the restaurant and get seated quickly. Very friendly atmosphere!

We started here as part of a three winery tour on a Saturday. We were the only people there early in the day, and we had a long visit with the winemaker. The setting is perfection! We loved the wines. We would definitely recommend, and we will defini
