One of the best views of Anchorage that you can drive to. Road can be a bit rough and it closes at 10PM, but it isn't very populated and doesn't often have other people at the overlook.
Great area. Alaska is so beautiful whether it is summer or winter. It really is a place where you are happy to have experienced being there. Living there is a whole other story, but by far an incredible view from this spot. You have so many mountains and trails to travel on, and wildlife to see. Beautiful area.

It’s a dusty, rocky last couple of miles up to arctic valley but stopping at the overlook is always a beautiful view. It makes the road worth it.
