I was just traveling through and I wasn't pleased with the food at all. I took a few bites and was done. The service was great and the place was clean prices were good. I Must have ordered the wrong breakfast. But I didn't like it. Who wants a burnt omelet?

It's a great hidden gem. I love the food and anytime we are in the area the wife and I try to stop by. It looks like a classic diner on the inside. Got to the counter place you order and they bring it to your table. Love it. Did i mention that the food is awesome. This is a must at least once if you're in the Laporte area.

My boyfriend and I were traveling back to NY from IL and decided to stop at a local place. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by Stella, who was incredibly personable and helpful! The food was great and reasonably priced. If we ever make it out this way again we will absolutely be stopping!

A Laporte staple for 40 years. 40 years of business kinda speaks for itself, it's so difficult to keep a family restaurant open past 5 years. The food is good, cheap, fast. (The impossible Trinity) it's also amazing how big of a variety they still manage to carry. Egg breakfasts are generally going to be the same wherever you go, Archies is the cheapest in town with what I believe to be perfect portion sizes. I guess my only complaint could be, the operating hours, I know they have the official hours posted on here, but they stay open 24 hours sometimes (or at least they use to) and I never know when those times are, cause after writing this review at 2am, I'm craving me some Archies. If you haven't been, go.

Don't let this place fool you. It is amazing. The customer service and food was awesome. You get what you pay for and it is a lot, homemade and hot. Worth going and eating. We had homemade beef vegetable soup and it was delicious. My husband had goulash and couldn't eat it all. I had chicken vegetables over rice and mashed potatoes. Wow!

The food, atmosphere, prices and people are all super great! Archie himself is a charm. Some of the reviews on here say the atmosphere is “outdated” but I think it’s super cute! I love the homie feel. Can’t say enough good about this place. Definitely will be coming again :))
